Common Mental Disorders (CMD) are composed of non-psychotic


Problema depressive symptoms, anxiety and somatic complaints that influence the
performance of daily activities. The symptoms that characterize this
sphere are: problems of attention and memory, sadness, wakefulness,
fatigue, neurasthenia, the presentiment of uselessness, somatic
complaints, among others.
In general, 22.7% of the population had CMD (17.9% among men and
26.5% among women). On the other hand, some studies with pregnant
women, a slightly higher prevalence was identified, such as in Paraguay,
where 33.6% of the participants presented CMD and in Recife (Brazil) the
rate found was 43.1%

Objetivo To analyze the occurrence of mental illness in pregnant women and the
associated factors.
