Dear Nursing Recruiter,

I am writing to express my interest in joining the Nurse Grad Program and be part of the
Medical/Surgical team. I will be graduating in May 2021 with my BSN from Grand Canyon
University and am anticipating taking my NCLEX-RN in July 2021. I hope to gain valuable
experience, develop my skills and expand my knowledge under your team. In the near future, I
would like to grow professionally and specialize in critical care at UC Davis Medical Center.
During my clinical rotations, I had the opportunity to enhance my skills on the Med-Surge floor
where I provided a holistic approach to nursing care. I was proactive and seek out opportunities
to take responsibility of one of the patients under supervision of the nurse. I applied critical
thinking and develop a care plan to provide the appropriately interventions for my patient. I was
responsible for advocating for my patient by communicating with the patient, the medical team,
and the family at a timely manner. This allowed me to be more confident on my nursing skills
and better prepared me to be a competent nurse.
I am skilled in medication administration, IV insertion and basic bedside nursing skill.
Furthermore, I can appropriately communicate in a therapeutic manner to provide support to
patient and their families.
I believe that this institution can challenge me and broaden my knowledge and skills, and in
return I can offer my loyalty and integrity to this institution. Thank you for your time and
