People take much time in the searching process of an ideal partner and look for someone with a
lot of values and characteristics like intelligence, humbleness, richness, or even a good-looking
physical appearance but from my vantage point, the most important treat for a mate ought to be
empathy for the two reasons presented below.

To begin with, empathic people always put themselves in the other’s place and they will not do
anything they would not wanted to receive from others. In other words, empathy induces people
to do good things as well as these people will think in the well-being of their partner even if they
have many troubles in their lives. In addition, people with this value are the best choice for
someone who wants to build a family because they will take care of all the members without
distinction. Furthermore, this fact is the true essence of love and it will allow to choose the
accurate person to anyone who wants a perdurable relationship. Evidently, if someone looks for a
partner with empathy, they will find an enriching engagement too.

Another point to consider is that being concerned about the other’s situation will permit the
conditions for a life based in respect. For example, someone with these kinds of characteristics
always assesses the consequences of their actions or words so, in a discussion this person will not
say anything with the purpose of damage and in my opinion, it is the best way to resolve an argue.
Also, this approach in problematic situation tends to create the perfect environment to experience
a healthy emotional and perdurable relationship due to the fact that couples which face problems
and find solutions that conduce to happiness are the ones that survive a long time. Evidently,
some divorces would not have happened unless they had included this value in their lives.

Finally, I think every people in the world should give the real importance to this characteristic in
the decision of choosing a partner for the reasons that were described in this writing.
