The D327A is used to supervise and control In an alarm condition, the D327A switches power from
notification appliances operating in a single circuit, the auxiliary power source to the notification circuit
such as bells, horns and horn strobes, speakers and and supervises the auxiliary power input. This feature
speaker strobes, and so on. Grouping notification simplifies the design and reduces the cost of the
appliances by location in a circuit controlled by a notification circuit.
D327A gives them a single address point on a fire
Status LED
alarm control panel (FACP).
An LED confirms polling response and activation
At a single address point on the FACP's polling circuit,
status. The LED flashes green to indicate a normal
this module provides:
polling response and flashes red to indicate activation.
• A point for connecting a notification appliance circuit
(NAC) to the system Certifications and approvals
• Supervised terminals for connecting auxiliary power
from the FACP (or from a regulated, power-limited, Region Certification
auxiliary power supply) to the NAC

Installation Considerations Back Box Depth 2.1 in. (5.4 cm) minimum
There are three steps to installing the NAC module:
• Set the point address: The D5070 Analog Device Outputs
Programmer is required to set the address by
NAC
programming an EEPROM microchip.
• Connect the wiring: Wiring terminals are clearly Current 2A
marked and the module leaves ample room in the
back box for wiring. Loop Resistance: 50 Ω maximum
• Mount the module in the back box: The D327A
Voltage: 30 VDC maximum
mounts on a four-inch square back box. A wall plate
(supplied) covers the module concealing the address Polling Circuit
pins but leaving the LED visible.
Current: 22 mA ± 20%
Data Circuit Length
Data (or polling) circuit length is the distance over the Power Requirements
circuit wire from the connection at the D9067 module
to the most distant device and back to the D9067 Current
module. Data circuit length must include the distance Alarm: 5 mA
to any device connected to the circuit in a T tap. The
screw terminals can accept up to 14 AWG (1.5 mm) Standby 0.22 mA typical
wire, but this reduces the allowable length of the Voltage (Operating)
circuit.
