    After undergoing this course the students will be able:

    1. To understand basic operation of various power semiconductor devices and basic principle of
    switching circuits.
    2. To understanding and design single-phase and three-phase thyristor converters.
    3. Describe the role of Power Electronics as an enabling technology in various applications.
    4. An ability to analyze and design an AC/DC rectifier circuit,design DC/DC converter circuits and
    DC/AC inverter circuit.
