QUID PRO QUO

Things always come on a particular value

A value tantamount to what you have given
Like a fish in the sea being served in the kitchen for a price
Though it should be that love is to be given with an amount not overpriced
But now is bought only at a price that is said to be out of the bar.
Given this situation, do you think love is still at par?

As being defined as a thing given in return for something equal an exchange or substitution.
Love in this generation has become a destitution.
For a simple proletariat like me
Am I still capable of loving you regardless of the price?
Or are you still looking for a guy that could pay someone your price.

Just a simple gift I thought would do

Come what may if you love it too
A dinner for two will do
Hell, I care if you appreciate these too.

Your Mom kept suggesting to marry a guy worth your value

Obviously not a guy like me who has at all no value
Yet I remained reticent as I thought this actuation would be decent
To someone who pairs your scent
Does he really deserve you even though his worth is more than just a cent?
