The Madman
When Jesus and His disciples landed their boat in the country of
the Gadarenes, something shocking happened — a madman suddenly
ran from some tombs and charged toward them, looking like he would
tear them apart! Chains dragged behind him, there were cuts on his
body, and he was dirty and without clothes!
The disciples were plenty scared and probably ran for their lives, but
Jesus stayed right there. He knew the devil had caused this man’s terrible
condition, and He healed the man.
Once he was in his right mind, the man wanted to go with Jesus, but the Lord
had a special job for him to do. It’s something He wants us all to do!
