ADVERTISEMENT NO.02/2020

In view of the lock down due to Covid-19, the online process of submission of application
against advertisement no.02/2020 was temporarily suspended. The online portal will now be
activated on 17th August 2020 and will remain open for submission of application till 16th
September 2020. The last date for submission of print out of the application will be 15th October
2020.
Those candidates who have already completed the online submission of application and posted
the print out need not submit again. Those who have completed the online submission but not
send the print out of application by post may now send the same till 15th October 2020.

Cut-off date for age limit indicated in the advertisement remain unchanged. (30th April 2020).

The cut-off date mentioned in clause No.8 of the advertisement stands revised as follows:
1. Educational qualifications – Date of interview in place of 31st August 2020.
2. Experience - No change
Date of written examination and interview will be notified subsequently.

Those who have registered and are yet to complete the process can resume and make final
submissions from 17th August 2020.

FAQ ON QUALIFICATIONS
1. My qualification is M. Sc Yes. Candidates with qualification of
(Electronics). Whether I am eligible M.Sc (Electronics)/M.Sc (Applied
to apply for the post advertised with Electronics) are eligible to apply.

awarded but eligible to apply

option to skip the date of
completion or to mention the
status of the PhD.

14. I am working in central
government office under
probationary period. So which one

Contract in the proforma- VI.
15. I am currently working as a contract
employee in an autonomous and
non profit organisation under
government of India. Whether I
have to produce NOC by my
employer or not.
16. I am eligible to apply for both
Scientist-B and Scientist-C. Is the
examination for candidates who
have applied for more than one
post different or combined?
17. I have applied for the Scientist B,
but I am not able to send the
application form by Post due
Lockdown. Kindly give us any
information whether there will be
any consideration regarding this
situation.
18. I am applying for a post for the
reserved category. But I am unable
to obtain the certificate from the
Government authorities due to lock
down/pandemic. So in this
condition what can I do?

Scheme of written examination shall
be objective type and will be based on
GATE syllabus and pattern for
Electronics and communication
engineering (EC) for serial no 1 to 3
(common examination for posts at
sr.no.1 to 3), Physics (PH) for the post
at Sr.No. 4 and 5 (common
examination for posts at Sr No.4 & 5)
and Atmospheric sciences (XE-H) for
post at sr. no.6. Interviews will be
separate for each post/field.
