Main Scene: Act 3, Scene 3 Pages 147 to 157 (Lines 91-279)

Alexis:
*sees Sophia and Oliver happily together*, *sigh*
Oh If only I could capture Sophia’s heart. I’ve known her since kindergarten and now we’re in university together, I
deserve to be with her! I need to somehow separate the two of them and win her love.
*sees Zack sitting on a chair beside a table and approaches him to talk*
Hey Zack, I need you to do something for me.
Zack:
Carry on...
Alexis:
I like Sophia but she’s with this other guy named Oliver. I need you to separate them. I just don’t know how to plan
this out, so I need your help to do it.
Zack:
Alright. I can help you out. Except, I’m going to need some help from you as well, deal?
Alexis:
I’ll do anything to separate them!
Zack:
Okay, in order to make this plan work, I’m going to need you to lend me some money for some gifts and other items.
Alexis:
Of course!
Zack:
Lend me $100 right now, It may seem like a lot of money but you have to trust me. I’m going to use it to buy gifts for
Sophia on your behalf and send them to her to please her.
Alexis:
No problem. I trust you more than anyone in this campus, which is why I’m asking you for help.
*Gives Zack the money*
Zack:
Alright, I’ll get to work, see you later.
*Zack thinking to himself*
“This can work out perfectly, I hate Oliver, he embarrassed me in front of our hockey team by asking the coach to
bench me since he is team captain. I can get my revenge and take my spot back on the team by breaking up his
relationship with Sophia. I’ll also just tuck away this money Alexis gave me someplace safe.”
Scene Two - Main Scene
Zack:
*sees Oliver walking*
Oliver!
Oliver:
Hey Zack.
Zack:
Have you been in touch with Sophia recently?
Oliver:
Yes, why do you ask?
Zack:
Oh nothing, I was just asking.
Oliver:
You sure? It seems like something is bugging you.
Zack:
You trust me right?
Oliver:
Of course, I do, you’re one of the most honest people I’ve met.
Zack:
It’s just… lately, I’ve seen Sophia hanging around other guys.
Oliver:
What do you mean?
Zack:
I don’t mean to jump to conclusions but I want you to watch over your girlfriend. I would never want you to be taken
advantage of and so I’m asking you to keep an eye on how she is around others. It would be awful if she was having
an affair behind your back.
Oliver:
Do you really think Sophia would do something like that?
Zack:
I’ve recently seen her tagging multiple guys in her photos on social media and heard she’s been texting other players
from our hockey team trying to flirt with them. Have you not heard about any of this?
Oliver:
No never, I never thought she would do such foolish things. Thank you for letting me know this Zack, and I’m sorry
for benching you on the team. I’ve been thinking about it and I really think you deserve your spot back. I trusted
Sophia, but to find out that she’s been flirting with other guys from our team is heartbreaking. I’m going to go settle
this with her right now.
Zack:
I’m just looking out for you Oliver, you can always count on me to have your back no matter what. I’ll see you later
okay?
*Zack exit*
Scene 3 - Ending
Oliver:
Sophia!
Sophia:
Oliver, I’ve been looking for you all day.
Oliver:
Liar, you’ve been going around behind my back flirting with other guys. How could you do something so cruel to me?
Sophia:
What are you talking about?
Oliver:
You know very well what I’m talking about. I thought you were innocent and really cared about me, but instead, you
go around messaging players from my hockey team and tagging them in your photos on social media trying to win
them over!
Sophia:
Oliver I would never do anything like that to hurt you. Calm down and listen to me, please.
Oliver:
I’ve heard enough from you. Sophia, I’m breaking up with you.
Sophia:
What?! Oliver wait, please hear me out. I’m innocent you’re surely mistaken.
Oliver:
You heard me loud and clear, it’s over. Goodbye Sophia.
*Oliver Exits*
Sophia:
Oh, what have I done to deserve this? I never sent anybody messages or tagged them in photos in order to get their
attention. What might have lead Oliver to think such horrible things?
*Enter Alexis*
Alexis:
Uhhh…. hi Sophia.
Sophia:
Who are you?
Alexis:
It’s me, Alexis. Don’t you remember me from kindergarten? Anyways, did you get the gifts I sent you?
Ok go to the roles
Sophia:
What gifts?
Alexis:
You mean you didn’t receive anything?
Sophia:
Sorry, you must be speaking to the wrong person. I’m going to go now, I’ve had a rough day.
Alexis:
No, wait!
*Sophia exits*
