DOSAGE AND FEEDING
The feedwater dosage of NALCO 18 PULV will
vary based on the feedwater oxygen level, boiler
operating pressure and boiler water cycles of
concentration.
Underfeed of NALCO 18 PULV will result in
serious oxygen corrosion to the boiler and
feedwater system. Underfeed may also
significantly increase the specific risk of very
damaging pitting corrosion. The greatest damage
will occur in the economizer or feedwater
preheaters. Oxygen corrosion will also increase
iron levels in the feedwater, which may result in
iron deposits and subsequent boiler tube failures
in high heat flux areas of the boiler.
Overfeed of NALCO 18 PULV will result in
high dissolved solid levels in the boiler,
resulting in carryover of dissolved solids, or
excessive energy losses due to high blowdown
requirements. Overfeed of NALCO 18 PULV
will also increase the cost of your chemical
treatment program and eventually drop the pH of
the Boiler water.

STORAGE
NALCO 18 PULV has a maximum
recommended in-plant storage life of one year in
factory-sealed containers. Keep container closed
when not in use. The maximum storage
temperature is 49°C.
Bulk NALCO 18 PULV should be stored in
polyethylene, polypropylene, or stainless steel
tanks.
