The ABC of Numerology

Advanced Numerology is the study of the secretive and occult side of the numbers. It has its base in Cheiro‘s
numerological principles and a time tested centuries-old predictive principle of Vedic Astrology. It reveals the occult
secrets that are inherent in the numbers. In this present world of stress and strife where unhappiness and a lack of
mental peace have become the order of the day, it helps us identify our strengths and weaknesses and makes our
lives harmonious and happier by avoiding the weak fields and harnessing the strengths inherent in us. To put it
simply, advanced numerology is an occult technology which helps us choose the right path at the right moment.

One may think that the numbers are used in mathematical calculations only and they do not reflect anything beyond
that. But the popular notion of mankind since time immemorial is that the numbers have an occult and secretive
reflection attained from planets and that they always act at the behest of planets. This notion gradually gained
credence as the science of numerology proved its worth time and again.

a science, in some form or other, was used in many civilizations before us and it will continue to be used in future
civilizations after us.

Advanced numerology helps us to identify the possible good and bad periods in our lives so that we can choose to be
careful and cautious. It also works as an effective instrument in predicting the various events in our lives. Advanced
numerology has a clear-cut method for discerning such events.

Generations ahead

Advanced numerology, as outlined in this course, is generations ahead of the present day numerology. It gives no
room for confusion and provides us with a key to understand people, assess their character and predict events in a

Lesson 2: The General Nature Of Numbers

This lesson discusses the way the numbers exercise their influence, the division of numbers, the numbers of
regeneration and mystery, and the natural characteristics of various numbers. The aim of this lesson is to equip you
with the proper understanding of general nature, characteristics and behavior of different numbers.

A good command over the topics in this lesson, particularly over the characteristics of numbers, provides you with an
added advantage in assessing the inherent characteristics of persons with the help of various numbers that will be
discussed in the next lesson. Again, please avail yourself of the multiple choice test at the end of the lesson.

How do the Numbers work?


As already pointed out, advanced numerology is the science of numbers which draw their strengths and weaknesses
from the planets, and reflect the same in the lives of the people they affect. Here, two things must be understood
clearly:

1. Planets transmit their characteristics directly to the numbers, and the numbers in turn influence the people.
When we study advanced numerology, we are indirectly studying the influence of planets on human beings.
This means that the numbers act at the behest of planets.
2. Numbers by themselves are not creative forces. They are a bundle of forces that take commands from the
planets in their working on the human beings.

One may wonder whether planets can influence human beings at all, be it directly or indirectly. Yet it was clearly
established long ago that the planets exercise their influence on the living beings. Scientists like Darwin of England,
and Flam Marion of France aptly discovered that the attraction of the Moon is causing the tides on earth, as well as
having some role in the natural phenomenon of earthquakes. When the Moon, a satellite of the Earth, can influence
such a huge planet, what could be the effect on the human brain by all the other planets, several times bigger than
the Moon in diameter and mass?

Again, one may question the need for numerology to study human life, when there is already astrology for predicting
the events in a person’s life. The answer is very simple. There are several systems of medicine for curing one’s
disease and depending on one’s interest/need, the curative system is selected. Similarly, numerology is one of the
branches of occult technology and it can be opted for by people who are fascinated by it.
The division of numbers

Numbers are basically divided into three categories:

1. Single digit numbers, such as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9.


2. Double digit numbers, which denote numbers made up of any two single digit numbers like 35, 89, 44 and
99.
3. Compound or multi digit numbers. These terms refer to numbers which are made up of three or more single
digit numbers like 123, 345 and 674, 6578 and 869432.

The number 0
The number 0 has no value when viewed separately, but when it is put at the side of a single, double, or compound
number, the value of that particular number goes up several times and because of this function, 0 is known as
the number of infinite value.
Primary numbers
It must be noted that the single digit numbers are also known as the primary, main, or basic numbers and any double
or compound number (beginning from 10 or 100 onwards) respectively is the multiplication of some single numbers
only. In fact, when you think of primary numbers separately, all the numbers starting from 2 to 9 are the multiplication
of the number 1 only, which is the number of origin and creation ( as it stands first among all the primary numbers).
When you think along those lines, the number 9 becomes the number of ending and destruction as it is the last
one in the series of the primary numbers.
Regeneration and Mystery
The number 9 becomes the number of regeneration, too, as it is the number of destruction. Since everything that
is destroyed is bound to reappear in some form or other, number 9, as the number of destruction, is having a peculiar
quality of regeneration also.

One can see the power of the number 9 in calculations also. When you multiply any number with the number 9, the
net total of digits of the resulting number equals to 9 only. For example multiply 3 with 9 and you will get the sum of
27 which equals to 9 when the two numbers 2 and 7 are added up. As another example, multiply 25 with the number
9, you will get the sum of 225 and it equals to 9 when all the three numbers (2+2+5) are added up.

Middle number:

The number 5 becomes the middle number as it is in the middle of all the primary numbers. It comes after four
numbers (1, 2, 3, and 4) and four numbers (6, 7, 8, and 9) follow after it.

The mystery number:

Among all the primary numbers, the number 7 is known as the number of mystery due to the following reasons:

 There are seven main planets in the zodiac.


 There are seven continents in the world.
 There are seven wonders of the world.
 There are seven colors in the rainbow.
 There are seven days in a week.
 There are seven seas on the Earth.
 There are seven petals in the Lotus, the Sacred Seat of Lord Buddha, regarded as the most sacred flower
by the people of the Eastern countries.

Lord Venkateswara, regarded as the incarnation of God (Maha Vishnu) in Kaliyuga by the one thousand million
Hindus (Indians), is known as the Lord of the Seven Hills, as He is situated on the seven hills near Tirupathi in the
Andhra Pradesh state in the southern part of India.

Additionally, the Christian Scripture, Revelations, refers to the following:

 The seven heavens.


 The seven thrones.
 The seven seals.
 The seven churches.
In Revelation, we come across seven spirits of God. Ezekiel speaks of “The seven angels of the Lord that go to and
from through the whole earth.” It is also not without reason that there are seven generations from David to the birth of
Lord Christ. Substantiating the mystery of the number 7, Egyptian religion repeatedly talks of the seven spirits. It is a
known fact that the number 7 is regarded as the number of mystery by almost all major religions of the mankind.

Medically, it is established that every seven years, biological changes take place in the chemistry of human beings,
both male and female. It is also most commonly said all over the world that every person on this Earth would have six
other persons living somewhere with the similar features and looks making it a total of seven persons being look-
alikes for each and every one.

Primarily, the nine basic numbers own and represent the following planets and the zodiacal signs:

Lesson 3: Individual Numerology

In this lesson, you will come to know the natural and inherent characteristics of persons of various numbers and the
nature of the 12 solar months (or periods). You will also come to understand the intricate way that various solar
months (or periods) modify the inherent characteristics of a person.

The aim of this lesson is to equip you with the assessing abilities of the characteristics of people of various numbers
and how their characteristics are modified depending upon the solar month (or period) in which they are born. A
thorough understanding of this lesson will give you an excellent command of assessing mentalities, behavior and
even the general nature of persons of different numbers born in different periods of the year.

Characteristics of People
By now you are familiar with the characteristics of the various numbers. Now, you will be introduced to the
characteristics, behavior and nature of people of the various numbers. For example, it is vital to recognize these
characteristics, so that the Numerologist understands that a number 1 person, for example, is influenced by the
characteristics of number 1. A number 2 person is influenced by the characteristics of number 2 and the same applies
for the persons of other numbers also.

Obviously, now comes up the question of who is a number 1 person or a number 2 person? Any person, born on a
date (only date and not the complete date of birth which includes date, month and year), whose digits are equal to the
value of 1 when added up, is a number 1 person. Any person, born on a date, whose digits equal to the value of 2
when added up, is a number 2 person. The same treatment works well in the case of persons of other numbers too.

Following this principle, a person born on any of the dates -1, 10, 19 and 28 -in any month of any year becomes a
person of number 1. This is easily proven:

 1=1
 10 = 1 (1+0)
 19 = 1 (1+9)
 28 = 1 (2+8)

Similarly, a number 2 person is a person born on any of the dates -2, 11, 20 and 29. A number 3 person is a person
born on any of the dates -3, 12, 21 and 30. A number 4 person is a person born on any of the dates -4, 13, 22 and
31. A number 5 person is a person born on any of the dates -5, 14 and 23. A number 6 person is a person born on
any of the dates -6, 15 and 24. A number 7 person is a person born on any of the dates -7, 16 and 25. A number 8
person is a person born on any of the dates -8, 17 and 26. A number 9 person is a person born on any of the dates
-9, 18 and 27.

Some very important general characteristics of persons of various numbers are given below; however, please note
that it is not possible to mention each and every characteristic in detail. Instead, please review the characteristics of
various numbers first in detail and then try to cast them to the persons of different numbers.

Characteristics of the Solar Months


In the first section of this lesson, you have become familiar with the characteristics of persons of various numbers. In
this section, you will gain the knowledge of the characteristics of the 12 solar months (or different numerical
periods) which will modify the natural characteristics of the persons of various numbers.

The sun, better known as the Father of the Universe, takes one full month to complete the journey of a zodiacal sign
and one full year to complete the journey through the twelve signs of the entire zodiac. The 30 days period taken by
the sun to pass through a zodiacal sign is called a solar month or a numerical month. Following the listings
in Raphael’s Astronomical Ephemeris, the average transit of the sun progresses as follows (the names in brackets
indicate the names of the periods):

 Aries from March 21 to April 20 (Aries month / Numerical month of 9 positive)


 Taurus from April 21 to May 21 (Taurus month / Numerical month of 6 negative)
 Gemini from May 22 to June 21 (Gemini month / Numerical month of 5 negative)
 Cancer from June 22 July 22 (Cancer month / Numerical month of 2 –positive and negative)
 Leo from July 23 August 23 (Leo month/ Numerical month of 1-positive and negative)
 Virgo from August 24 September 23 (Virgo month / Numerical month of 5 positive)
 Libra from September 24 to October 23 (Libra month / Numerical month of 6 positive)
 Scorpio from October 24 to November 22 (Scorpio month / Numerical month of 9 negative)
 Sagittarius from November 23 to December 21 (Sagittarius month / Numerical month of 3 -positive)
 Capricorn from December 22 to January 20 (Capricorn month / Numerical month of 8-negative)
 Aquarius from January 21 to February 19 (Aquarius month / Numerical month of 4-positive)
 Pisces from February 20 to March 20 (Pisces month/ Numerical month of 7-negative)
Please note that the respective zodiacal signs are identified with their respective periods or solar months. For
example, Aries is identified with its solar month “March 21 to April 20” and Taurus with its solar month “April 21 to
May 21”, and the same principle can be applied to other periods in relation to their representing signs.

Now, please remember that the qualities and characteristics of the zodiacal signs are transferred to their respective
periods. The period from March 21 to April 20 inherits the qualities and characteristics of Aries, and the period from
April 21 to May 21 inherits the qualities and characteristics of Taurus. The same principle can be applied to other
periods in relation to their representing signs.

You may wonder why only the sun is taken into consideration for this purpose and not any other planet. The reason is
simply that the sun is the originator and creator and he is the Cause of all Causes. The entire universe depends on
the sun for its survival and he is thus aptly called the “Father of the Universe“. The other planets are also depending
on the sun for their survival. So taking the sun’s transit as the yardstick for this purpose is entirely justified.

Before applying your mind to ascertain the way various solar months or periods that modify the inherent
characteristics of persons of various numbers, you must know the qualities and characteristics of different solar
months or periods. The following are the three main qualities and characteristics of various periods or solar months
as inherited from their respective signs:

 June 22 July 22: (number 2 positive and negative); Watery (soft, cool, thoughtful and
fruitful), Movable (dynamic, ambitious, changing and exploring), Feminine (like a woman)

Modification of the Characteristics


As you are already familiar with the characteristics of persons of various numbers and solar periods, it is time for us
to explore how these natural and inherent characteristics of persons of different numbers are likely to be modified
depending on the solar or numerical month in which they are born.

It is quite obvious that any two or three people born at the same time or on the same date in a particular city or town
would not have the same type of character, behavior, or mentality. They may also not necessarily take up the same
profession just because they are born at the same place or on the same date. People born on the same date, at the
same time, or at the same place should not necessarily share similar sentiments, emotions and thoughts, too.

As an example, we shall study how the characteristics of a number 1 person would be modified depending on the
solar month in which he is born. The modification process can be applied to persons of other numbers as well.

A number 1 person is very much an independent person, as explained in section one of this lesson. But a number 1
person born in the solar month of Aries and another number 1 person born in the solar month of Taurus completely
differ in mentalities and attitudes. Yet, it must be noted that both of them are destined to lead independent lives.

As the solar month of Aries represents fiery, movable and manly qualities, the number 1 person born in this period
would be very much commanding, independent, active, energetic, assertive, lively, dynamic, inquisitive and

Calculating Numerical Values
In the same way that the numbers represent various planets, everything on this earth represents one of the nine
primary numbers. Human beings, countries, cities, towns, streets, houses and places all have their own names, and it
is a well-known truth that everything in this world can be expressed in terms of a numerical value. To convert each
and everything, including the names of persons, into numerical values, the following two methods are followed:

1. Pythagoras method
2. Chaldean or Hebrew method

I recommend to the student of this advanced Numerology course to follow the Hebrew method in calculating the
numerical values of names, persons, and things as it is advocated by the great numerologist Cheiro. This method has
been producing very accurate results in all respects, and Cheiro could predict very accurately with this method. In my
experience, too, this method is turning out to be very accurate.

As an example, take the name of “Sylvia Cochran”. The numerical values of “Sylvia Cochran” should be calculated in
the following way:

When you want to study anything in terms of Advanced Numerology, the numerical value of the object, whether it is a
person or thing, should be calculated in the above manner.

Used names are important


You may entertain doubts in you mind as to which name is to be considered for numerical purpose when a person
has several names. It must be noted that whatever is the number of names one may posses, the most used name
should be considered for the purpose of general numerological study. The reason is that only pronunciations would
carry the power of vibrations and not the written name. The pronunciation of the name of a person or thing is vital.
How the name of a person is written is not important.

A person may have different names at different places. For example, take the name of “Sylvia Cochran” again.
“Sylvia Cochran” may be called “Sylvia” by family members at home or “Cochran” by colleagues at the work place.
Naturally you would be confused as to which one is to be considered for the purpose of calculation. The answer is
very simple. If you study the name in relation to a family issue, consider the name “Sylvia” (used at home), and if you
study the name in relation to an issue concerning the work place, consider the name “Cochran” (as used at the work
place). This means that you have to take into consideration the name that is used in relation to a particular aspect
which is to be studied.

Thus, irrespective of one’s birth name or name mentioned in the school records or in any other official record, only
the used name in relation to a particular issue should be considered for the purpose of calculation. The next lesson
