Ans: 25 – 32 = -7 ≅ 2 mod 9

(13)(32) = 416

416 / 14 = 29.71

(14)(29) = 406

416 – 406 = 10

Ans: (13)(32) mod 14 ≅ 1

2. Determine the value of the Following:

a. Additive inverse of 6 mod 10
6 + 4 = 10 ≅ 0
Ans: 4
 b. Multiplicative inverse of 5 mod 11

55 / 11 = 5
(5)(11) = 55 ≅ 1
Ans: 11
c. Multiplicative inverse of 6 mod 15

Ans: 5

3. In a 12-hour clock, determine the time

a. 55 hours after 7 o’clock

55 + 7 = 62

62 / 12 = 5.17

62 – 60 = 2

55 + 7 = 62 ≅ 2 mod 12

b. 25 hours after 2 o’ clock

25 + 2 = 27
27 / 12 = 2.25
