Lab1: Start New Project and data exploring.

1- Open Techlog
2- You may find other project from different student open Automatically, make sure to
go the blue circle marked in the snap below

3- Select Project  New Project

4- Write your Project name, and select unit system to metric.

Then select Create project.
5- Now your Project is ready to receive data. Simply go to the file directory in your PC
that has the data. Then Drag drops the data with the mouse into your project
browser window.

Common Mistake: you may not find Browser window just like the snap below or you may be close it by
mistake.

Fix: To fix this issue just go the grey zone like the snap below and click right clickSelect Dock

 6- Select the data from the Buffer window in the Project Browser and hit on the arrow
directed to the Left

7- Then close from the big X in the middle

Note: Techlog will organize the data in the following configuration

•This is the dataset that will contain a

Dataset certain set of logs

Variable •This is the log likeGR, Density Neutron .... etc

How to Plot Logs

1- Go to Plot  Log view

2- Drag drop variable into the whit space

3- Try to make the same Plot as below:

GR and Neutron Resistivity

Caliber Density
Note: it’s important to show the properties window by pressing F4. Click on any log
and you can change the colour the size the limit of the log.
Note: you can select 2 curves by selecting first oneCtrland second curves then
right click you can select any type of shading from the right click menu
