PIE NOTES
April 13, 2020
Problem
● Ms. Huynh will increase time management within her week for assignments, tasks, and
use of free time.

Intervention
● Client met with RT to discuss the use of the application “myHomework Studnet Planner”
to have a to-do list of assignments that are needed to be done. She is encouraged to
add on assignments 2 weeks prior to the due date. She is also is encouraged to make a
weekly schedule, that has designated times for sleep, meals, work time, and leisure/free
time. RT discussed with the client 5 leisure activities she is interested in participating in
her free time, so she is able to allow time for her enjoyment during the day, and is
encouraged to participate in at least 2 of those activities this week.

Evaluation
● Client discussed the usefulness of the application so that she can see what is due dates
are coming up soon and has reminders about what is assignments have a priority on her
list. The client was able to create a schedule that most fits her lifestyle for this upcoming
week. The client was able to identify 5 leisure activities that she interested in (including
running, yoga, facetiming friends, watching a show/movie, and gardening). The client
was able to incorporate the leisure activities into her free time slots on her weekly
schedule. She appears to feel confident about following her schedule.

Problem
● Ms. Huynh will be more resourceful with her free time to decrease her stress about
productivity.

Intervention
● Client met with RT to discuss the use of the weekly planner. In this weekly planner, she
has scheduled time for sleep, meals, work time, and free time. We have previously
discussed what activities she is interested to participate in. She was encouraged to use
the first week to see what activities she would participate in, consistently. From what she
would commit to, she would incorporate it into the weekly schedule. RT discussed how in
her time she can be flexible with her plan.

Evaluation
● Client discusses how she is enjoying running and yoga consistently and now had
included it into her weekly schedule about 3 times a week. She has also included at
least one day for a weekly facetime call to a group of friends to catch up on life. In her
schedule, she has blank spaces for her to have her free time doing other tasks, as she

describes scrolling through her phone or napping (used to her discretion). She appears
to be confident in her productivity for this coming week and following her schedule.

Problem
● Ms. Huynh will reflect upon her productivity and uses of her time management to
maintain her accountability of following her schedule.

Intervention
● Client met with RT to discuss how she has felt while following her weekly schedule and
her uses of her time. We have previously discussed productive uses of her free time and
incorporating it into her schedule, which includes running, yoga, and weekly phone
meetings with friends. She has been encouraged to be journaling her experiences, at
least with her uses of her free time. This can include things that she did specifically
and/or how she felt during or after her experience.

Evaluation
● Client discussed with RT how she has been doing with her routine and how she been
very good at following it. She also describes how she has been doing with her free time
activities and how she has been consistent; with her running, she is slowly improving her
running time. With including journaling within her week, she will include journaling as part
of her nightly routine at least twice a week in her schedule. She appears to feel
indifferent about writing her experience at the beginning, but became more hopeful as
we discuss what the journal entries could be about.
