Assignment: Storytelling (Module 2)

Challenges: I am working in the industry as a HR manager, I had the challenge to


retain the employees and following the company Morales and values. Employees
were feeling not comfortable to cooperative with the companies Morales. But I
work with vulnerable populations, developmentally disabled individuals like
executives’ levels, Senior executives’ levels, managerial levels on every aspect of
the industrial acts.

Selection: I spend a lot of time with open discussions with the senior employees in
the organization and finding the ways to inspire them to improve the circumstances.
Story tell is a tool to inspire employees and direct them in the right path. With my
developmentally share the story telling tools to the employees and their experiences
inspire running employees and form the teaching and legacy in the senses of work
environment in the organization. I share stories of my life journey to the employee
to visualize a state of independence and get their remarkable inspire journey of
their life goals. We start creating the few pages for the employees in the
organization magazines and create the values for the employees in the organization.
End of every month, all the employee assembles in the place, and share remarkable
journey of their life. This practice become the motivational tool for peer team
employee parallel it proving to improve the performance of the employees.
Application: I share a story using the storytelling practices. To make the employee
to understand the organization values and organization culture with help of
storytelling method. I was trying to explain the employees about the values towards
the organization culture and Morales. For example, we adopt the school education
system to upgrade the marks and make the best use of the education to understand
the country laws and school practices. The story of Princess cinderella story inspire
the values of the fate. The story starts with poor girls and convert to the princess,
Cinderella journey was very emotionally connected to the all the people. Everyone
was doing well in the organization but one male employee whose facing lot of
stress was making his very emotionally volatile in the organization. In my mind I
decided he would be the prince for an hour. I offer a cup of coffee and sat with him
and talk. He starts believing me and share his personal story, he was in
stress due to the personal problems and financial crisis. His salary is not enough
to feed his family during this period. He was stuck with his benefits in the
organization. From my side,
I understand the importance of the employee and his crisis. I help him from
the organization and release his benefits that supports financially strong, from
then onwards the employee worked long term with the organization.
Insight: What wow, it is an eye opening for the employer to think of the employee
benefits and provide them morale support to the organization. Clearly it was the
time to open my life journey story to inspire the people. I told him humanity is still
exists with the people and it shows when needy situation occurred. Story tell
worked well among the individual attention for the brief time and he ended with
value support and control the worried moments.
Approach: When the situations fails and trouble to us. We need to use the method
of story tell to convert the things around us. It is the best practice to implement to
the organization, the polices are being reevaluate and case workers are going
through the new training and train the employees with inspire the story to turn the
employee to good.
