This question tests your understanding of words as they are used in the context
of the text.
You have to be aware that the same words can have a different meaning when it
is used in a different context.
You must remember, however, (and this is a very important point to note for this type
of question) to ensure that your answer is accurate- that is, every word in your answer
must be both neccessary and relevant to the question.
Vocabulary in Context Question
Do take note if you are asked for consecutive words (i.e successive
words, or words written one after another.)
If you are asked to identify a specific number of words, make sure you
have that exact number in your answer – no more, no less.
Vocabulary in Context Question
If you are asked for a phrase, do not give a sentence, and vice versa. What is the
difference between these two terms? A phrase is a short group of words (and does not
constitute a sentence). A sentence, very simply put, begins with a capital letter and
ends with a full-stop (.), a question mark (?) or an exclamation mark (!).
But if you are asked for an 'expression', the shortest possible answer is a single word,
while the longest possible answer is a sentence. In other words, you can give an answer
of any length between a single word and a complete sentence!
