EXECUTIVE SUMMERY
In January 1, 1994; United States, Canada and Mexico introduced world’s largest free trade
agreement that is NAFTA. It was introduced to remove several tariff barriers and investment
restrictions; and to protect intellectual property rights. The objectives were to facilitate the
cross-border movement of goods and services, promote conditions of fair competition in the
free trade area, increase substantially investment opportunity, provide adequate and effective
protection and so on. They follow a defined structure in their business process
As a business company NAFTA have achieved a lot of success and achievement. At a point,
they executed ten years prior compare to its competitors. At that time, it made the world’s
biggest unhindered commercial zone. Their achievements are increased exports and
investment flows, increased total trade and broader economic trends and benefits for all
NAFTA partners; these will be explained later. But along with all the success and
achievements, NAFTA has also gone through a several controversies and criticism.
