I always ask myself why a lot of relationships don’t work out.

I always wonder why despite the number

of years people have been together, they always end up living separate lives. And every time I look for
answers, I always end up reading the same bible verses. When I first read these verses, I thought that I
have already understood what it means, it’s just amazing how the same verses could give a person
different explanations and reflections.

1 Corinthians 13:4 “Love is patient and kind.”

Love is patient and kind.
work things out. I realized that maybe God was trying to tell me something else. I realized that what God
meant with ‘patience and kindness’ is this.
for things to happen and God wants to teach us to be patient in dealing with time and start enduring
using our faith while we treat each other kindly. I think this is one of the reasons why couple break up,
impatience. Kapag kasi impatient ka, apektado lahat. We stop listening to God’s voice, hence, we end up
being irrational when making decisions. Yung gusto mo, gusto mo nalang. Kung ngayon na, dapat
nandiyan na, kahit nakakasakit kana.

1 Corinthians 13:5 “Love is not selfish.”

Love becomes unselfish when both people learn to think about what’s best for the other person and not
for personal liking. Love becomes unselfish when both people learn to give their lives to God and let God
be in control instead. Love becomes unselfish when both realize that you’re supposed to be spending all
your lives serving God together, and not serving each other.

1 Corinthians 13:6 “Love is not happy with evil.”

Madalas, we have this perspective na if you love a person, you have to learn to love his bad habits and
flaws, because those go with his existence. Let me remind you that love will never work out especially
when both of you tolerate bad habits and attitude. You’re in a relationship with that person because
God wants to use you in helping that person to become a better version of himself.
pangmatagalang saya because sooner or later, they will end up hurting each other.

1 Corinthians 13:7 “Love never gives up.”

Kapatid, it’s not love when you’re no longer happy. It’s not love when
you’re losing a huge part of yourself. It’s not love if it ruins you. Jeremiah 29:11 “plans to prosper and
not to destroy.” God will never want you to be in a relationship that breaks you over and over again.
Don’t give up kapag

1 Corinthians 13:8 “Love is eternal.”

Don’t stay in a relationship kapag pareho kayong dalawa na pansamantala lang ang pinanghahawakan.
You love because both of you are willing to spend the rest of your lives being together with God at the
center. Kung pareho naman kayong naglolokohan lang, it will surely never work out. You love because
God wants you to love. A love that lasts forever. If you’re not ready for that, please leave. Or else you’ll
end up hurting people who love genuinely.
