Indian Cashew Kernel Market

In India, local markets showed some activity with rise in prices of cashew kernels during the week. There
was low availability of kernel noticed in cashew markets. In Vetepalem there was good demand for kernels
due to marriage season.

RCN Market in India

During the wee, the RCN market was active; the prices have gone up slightly, but Inventory drawdown is
evident in raw cashew

Indian CNSL Market

The Indian CNSL market is in typical situation as there were no buyers for CNSL and low availability noticed.
Less interest shown to extracting CNSL, therefore shells remained idle.

Netherlands Cashew Market

Information on the crops on the northern hemisphere so far is all good. The prices of raw seeds are coming
down a bit and offers are floating around. The general opinion is that when the market continues to develop
as it is at the moment, kernel prices might come down. When something occurs though, it easily can change
the feeling as especially the pre-sales might become questionable than.

Indian rupee gained for the fifth time during last six weeks and settled around 61.69. As expected the RBI
has decided to keep the repo rates unchanged at 7.75 per cent in its meeting last week. Indian rupee last
week traded in the region of 61.55 and 62 and finally gained by 18 paise to 61.69 against the dollar.

Brazilian real last week pared most of the gains and fell to new 10-year low of 2.7852 during last week due
to fall out of biggest corruption scandal in Brazil's state-run oil company Petrobras. Brazilian real last week
traded in the region of 2.6650 and 2.7852 and settled weaker at 2.7825 and was highly volatile.

The Deputy Minister for Vietnam’s Construction Ministry, Nguyen Tran Nam, has announced a proposal
for the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) to support the commercial housing market through a VND50 trillion
(US$2.3bn) credit package. Last week Vietnam dong traded in the region of 21408 and 21185 and finally
settled at 21282.
