Listening/Reading Test, Section Two: Reading: 90 minutes. Grammar
section: tests takers read 1 to 2 sentences from which a word or
phrase has been removed. Test takers are asked to complete the
sentence by selecting the most appropriate word or phrase from four
options. Reading section: each set of reading items is followed by 12
to 14 multiple-choice questions. One of two questions test
comprehension across more than one reading section. There are
typically between two and five reading items in each section.
Speaking test: 10 minutes. A structured one-on-one interaction
between an examiner and a test taker, with 5 tasks: Describing a
picture, talking about personal experiences, giving personal opinion,
explaining advantages and disadvantages from a given situation and
giving opinion to convince the examiner about a topic.
Writing test: 45 minutes. The writing test has two tasks:
Task 1: test takers are presented with three questions on a related
theme. Test takers respond to each question with a series of
sentences that connect ideas together.
Task 2: test takers are presented with a single prompt. Test takers
respond by producing a short essay.
Availability of calendar In Colombia, the test can be presented at Centro Colombo Americano
in Bogota, Medellín, Cali, Armenia, Manizales, Cartagena,
Villavicencio, and Cucuta. It can be also presented at Academia de
idiomas SMART in Bogotá and Medellín, as well as at British English

The Speaking Test consists of 11 tasks total and lasts about 20
minutes. Questions 1-2: Read a Text Aloud Question 3: Describe a
Picture Questions 4-6: Respond to Questions 7-9: Respond to
Questions Using Information Provided Question 10: Propose a
Solution Question 11: Express an Opinion.
The Writing Test is last on the computer-based Speaking and Writing
Section of the TOEIC test. The Writing Test consists of 8 tasks total
and lasts about one hour. Questions 1-5: Write a Sentence Based on
