    Dear Canarelli Middle School Parents and Guardians:

    This is Ian Salzman, Principal at Lawrence and Heidi Canarelli Middle School

    As always, we want to keep you informed of important issues happening within our school
    community.

    Today, we became aware of a team building exercise that was utilized in your child’s virtual
    Advisory class this week that was not reviewed properly. The presentation contained a slide with
    subject matter that was not conducive to the social-emotional needs of students. The teachers
    utilizing the presentation were not involved in the original creation of the content.

    We are making changes to the review process to prevent this type of incident going forward.

    Should you have any questions or concerns about your child, please feel free to contact the school
