your organization. Respond to the following:

 Why do you need union involvement?

Unions are important because they help set the standards for education, skill levels, wages,
working conditions, and quality of life for workers. Union-negotiated wages and benefits are
generally superior to what non-union workers receive. Most union contracts provide far more
protections than state and federal laws.

 How will you get the union involved?

The process of organization the employees of company into a labor union which Will act as
an intermediary between the employees and company management. In most case it requires a
majority vote of the employees to authorize a union. If a union is established the company is
said to be unionized.

 What resistance should you expect?

Resistance occurs when employees don’t understand how they fit in with the new way of
doing things. For example, if your company decide to shift it’s emphasis from sales to
marketing, you may have to retrain some of your sales people to become marketing
representative, and that can cause anxiety among those employees.
