The race was in the youth house and I lost the competition.

One hundred runners were participating and all of them were of legal age.

It was a great experience.

Audio 3.15 n: why am i here? why are you keeping me here? i know my rights.

f: relax, miss longavin. we just want to ask you a few questions.

n: what about? who are you? what am i doing here? i haven´t done anything wrong.

f: well, let´s see about that, shall we? my name is Agent foster and this man here, he´s Agent
gonzales.

g: that´s me

f: so, miss longavin, let´s get started, shall we? you took part in last week´s marathon, right?.

n: yes, i did and i...

f: and you came first. you won the women´s race, didn´t you?

n: yes, i did. isn´t that fantastic?

g: and you ran a record time, didn´t you?

n: yes , i did. and i´m real proud of that.

g: it´s the best time you´ve ever run, isn´t it?

n: yes , it´s . isn´t that great?

f: you run a lot, don´t you?

n: not really.

f: not really?

n: i mean, yes , i do, of course i do.

g: well, that isn´t important right now. the important thing for us here taday is that last week
you didn´t run the whole marathon.

f: you cheated, didn´t you?

n: how could i cheat in a running race? there were cameras everywhere, electronic devices
on the ground. it isn´t against the law to win.

g: you´re right. it isn´t against the law to win. but you didn´t win did you?
f: you didn´t run the whole race. you cut corners. you missed out parts of the course. you
cheated.

n: well, even if i did cheat-and i´m not saying! did- what´s the problem? it isn´t a crime, is it?

f: that´s a big of a grey area. but taking people´s money dishonestly? taking their money for
running a race that you didn´t really run at all? now that is a crime.

n: what money?

f: all he money you asked for. for charity, you said. a lot of people sponsored you-gave you
money to finish the race.

g: you raised $35000, is that right?

n: yes that is right. didn´t i do well?

f: where is that money now?

n: well, i gave it to the charity

f: we don´t think you did.

g: you are in big trouble, miss longavin. you have broken the law. you´re looking at a jail
term.

n: i want to see a lawyer. i want an attorney. it´s my right.

f: that is your right, but are you sure it´s a good idea?

n: i know my rights. i didn´t do anything wrong

f: this interview is terminated. come on gonzales.

g: ma´am

n: hey, wait. yuo can´t leave me here. hey, i want an attorney.
