The main points from this module are:

For creating a chart in Excel, you can select all the data you want to chart and
then select a chart type from the chart group in the insert tab, or you can insert
a chart and choose your data range for the chart after words.

When you create a chart, you get three new tabs on the ribbon under the heading
Chart tools, these tabs are design, layout and format, they contain all the command
you need to work with charts. The tabs diaper when you deselect your chart and
reappear when you select it again.

To change the type of chart you are using select the chart tools design tab and
select change chart type and choose a new type, and your chat will change to that
type. There are many different types of charts available to suit your needs.

Changes made to the data a chart reads from will be instantly reflected in the
chart.

All chart types come with a selection of different layouts you can use to change
the look of your chart but not its type, chart layouts are a handy and quick way to
add a title and axis labels to your chart.

You can format you charts individual parts, such as the title, legend and even the
graphics on the chart, for example you could change the bars on a bar chart to be
all the same colour or to have shadows.
