Chapter:

Roller Coaster

The atmosphere feels cooler now, unlike several minutes ago. The unending
chattering seems to have lowered down, those kids or perhaps teenagers finally get tired of screaming
and shrieking. Okay. Let me just take this moment of brief silence and rest for quite a bit, since my body's
beat by adjusting to everything around here. Kit told me that we would be in this friggin' long line and
asked me if it would be okay for me. YEAH, OF COURSE. I've been waiting to try this rideHECK
YEAH! They say that the Empyrean was the sickest ride you could ever have. I could barely say how
high it is from outside, but now we're on its foot, hearing the squeals and shrieks of people from above, I
can say it's pretty high... and fast. I reached on my watch to check the time. 4:58 PM. An hour and a few
minutes have passed. And we're still standing here. Everybody's just so hyped and electrified thirty
minutes ago. No one ever bothered about how long the line is. But now, all are exhausted.

How much longer do we have to wait? JEEZ! This line is taking forever! I bent down and rested my
head above my arms on the metal fence. I can walk and roam around for an hour but I have never stood
up this long on my whole life! I never knew it would be this painful. My knees and legs are starting to
hurt right now and I'm getting the feeling that I really need to take a piss. We're almost on our turn so
there's no way I could leave this line now.
WHAT A GREAT TIMING!
I YOSHI! I knew there's just one batch before our turn. I hope it's just one. We counted twenty-four
or more people before us so we might as well be the next batch after them.

"Hey Ben, you alright?"
Oh crap, it's like my bladder wanted to answer that question!
"Uhm, yeah. My knees are just burning right now."

"Duh!e're all exhausted here! We've been standing here for an hour now! Urgh!"
Vi said as she buried her face above the metal fence. She's been sassy today. I wonder if it we came
here on a non-holiday season. Would it still be extra crowded? Or may be I am just the one who feels like
suffocating. The dank smell of
 "I just asked him a concerned question, chill!" You guys! It's almost our turn."Besides, this is Ben's first
time on DisneyLand and this is gonna be his first and best carnival ride!" Kit says, hanging his arm on my
shoulder.
Kit is a nice dude. We've been friend for I think more than a month now, But thinking people
around heard what he said, is a little bit embarassing. This guy begged me to go and hangout with his
friends in DisneyLand, FOR FREE. So... grab the opportunity I guess! I still told him that I'd cover for
our food. You may think that I should just let him cover everything just because he's the one who wanted
me to be here and might as well have me on his surprise vlog again, but my guilt wouldn't let me. I just
can't let him cover everything for me. Speaking of his friends, it's Vi and her younger sister, Sakura.
Thought it's gonna be a bunch of his guys. But urned out to be these two. Though I already know Vi for a
few months because of our moms' friendship from a long time before. We get to hang several times
especially her college is just a few blocks away from our café. "Look it's their turn now!" Sakura shouted.
"I think we're next!" I said. The line started moving. Finally. Then stopped after two persons before
Sakura. We counted correctly! Yes! Finally! "YEAAAH! LET'S GO!" Kit shouted while taking a selfie
video. My ear exploded. Since his mouth is just centimeters away from me. But my enthusiasm just
blocked the pain and we're to hyped. "Just waiting for our turn to the Incredicoaster!" I added while
holding a peace sign. Suddenly I felt like a trying hard YouTuber. I'm still bothered that I'm gonna be a
part of his vlog for the fifth time I guess. Since he will never let you know beforehand if he's going to take
a vlog. Like, you would just know it when he took his phone out and started angling the thing on his face.
Man. I wonder how I look on these videos. DANG.
Sakura sneaked in and grabbed Kit's phone and angled straight on her face. "YEAH! We're about to
ride the fastest and scariest, and LIT ride in DisneyLand YO!!" She blurted with her tiny and sweet voice.
Thoughit's a bit shrieking and painful. "Guys, this is Sakura. She appeared several times on my vlog so...
don't forget to follow her on insta and... subscribe to her YouTube channel." Kit plugged her. "Arigatou
Gozaimasu!" Sakura added while... bowing. "Thank you, thank you!" She sounded like a cartoon
character. A very cute cartoon character. What is it again? uhmm. Like... an... ANIME! yeah that's it, an
anime. Oh. I just felt Vi looking at me or something. Vi's silent. I bet she's nervous now. A while ago she
just can't stop talking about this ride and now..."Hey Violet!", Kit trying to put her into the camera with
him. I felt like she's not so... excited... anymore. KLANK. KLANK. TOOT. The roller coaster started
moving. I can feel a different energy now from the people near us. Almost same energy as... Vi's?
Almost. "Violet!" Kit shouted again. "Hey Violet say something!" HAHA, She's scared alright! Sakura
moved closer to Vi... and whispered something. "Ben's looking at you and smiling." I want to laugh. My
ears already adjusted to the Another painful thing for me. When someone thinks that couldn't hear their
whispering. Sorry but to me, it's still crystal clear. May be unless you're whispering from, uhh, at least
eight blocks away. Sorry. "Do you still want to ride or... ARE YOU BACKING UP?" He put up his
cartoon-like voice again. The animated voice.
