1 EXT. DAY - SEA

It is a warm and sunny day. The sea is calm and the beach is
empty. A boat can be seen on the horizon.

The light's reflections on seawater slowly transform into the

light that is filtering through the branches of the trees.

2 EXT. DAY - FOREST

ROSA (25) is a young European woman. She wakes up in the

middle of a Mediterranean forest. She lifts her head to the
sky, the branches of the trees filter the sun and create a
constellation of light on the ground. She hears an electronic
sound with a fast-paced rhythm coming from far away.

(It will be a modified sound of

the waves of the sea)

ROSA stands up, looks around her to find the source of that
noise. She starts to walk to follow it.

3 EXT. DAY - FOREST

ROSA finally finds what is provoking the sound: it is a

screen covered by leaves. It shows a video of the sea
coloured red. This strange object intrigues ROSA. The light
of the screen colours her face. When she moves away, it
starts to move slowly: it's a human body made by videos,
which was sitting on the ground, but now is standing.

(The actor will be dressed in a

chroma key suit)

She is scared and quickly moves away. The video-being

suddenly falls on the ground. The volume of the electronic
sound is lower. She slowly goes closer to him, but when he
moves again she steps back.

VIDEO BEING
Don't be afraid of me. I won't hurt
you, I cannot.

ROSA is staring at him, breathing deeply. She's no longer

scared, but still suspicious.

He puts out his arm, handing her a sheet folded.

VIDEO BEING
Please, find me.

ROSA opens it. The electronic sound has ceased.

It is a classic map of the world, the only peculiarity is

that the Mediterranean Sea, unlike the other seas, is
coloured red.

(The map will be shown as a full-

screen still photo)

ROSA
I remember people that I've never met
and emotions that I've never felt.

4 EXT. NIGHT - FOREST

When ROSA puts the map down, is alone. She looks at the
forest again, it's twilight. The woman sees a red light
coming from the trees a few steps away from her. As she gets
closer, she hears the electronic sound too.

When ROSA reaches the place, she notices that the light comes
from a puddle of water on the ground. It shows the same video
of the red sea. The sound becomes louder and she follows it.

Now, she sees a glimpse between the trees from which comes a
strong light. The sound is almost deafening. She goes there.

5 EXT. DAY - BEACH/ARCHIVE VIDEOS

It's day and the woman is standing still. There are trees
behind her back, and she's facing the beach. After stopping
on that border for a few moments, ROSA starts walking again
reaching the middle of the empty beach. The video being is
looking at her from the sea. The electronic sound is still
very loud.

ROSA
Hey! Hey!

She runs towards him and dives into the water. ROSA is
swimming, trying to reach him. She wants to save him but he
gets further and further away.

The Video-being has disappeared into the calm water. She goes
under the water and disappears too.

ROSA
(V.O. in Italian)

There is a boat on the horizon.

It stays on an expanse of water

made of electricity and blue light.

It's a graveyard.
I can only hear the screams if I turn
up the volume.
People's faces are flat and smooth as
glass
And their tears can't get me wet.

While ROSA speaks, the camera tilts up bypassing the horizon,

only the sky can be seen. Then the camera tilts down.

It is a warm and sunny day. The sea has turned red. The beach
is empty and a boat can be seen on the horizon.

ROSA
(V.O. in Italian)
So they silently fall into the sea.
