introduction : on 15 August 1945 Quaid-e-azem Muhammad Ali Jinnah became


the first Governor General of Pakistan . He remained Governor of the country for
13 months. He died on 11th September 1948. During the short period he used his
Sight and leadership abilities and resolved Important National issue that helped
Pakistan stand on its feet.As a national Hero: different nations have different
heroes. One of those heroes who was Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He is
our national hero. He was the most respected, most senior and most powerful
leader. He was a commanding and controlling personality. He is the founder of
Pakistan. As a mark of respect Pakistan called him Quaid-e-Azam means great
leader. People also call him baba-i-quam means The father of the nation.

Role and services of quaid E Azam:

1) Challenges: after creation of Pakistan, many problems created by India to


destroy the new born country. Such problems became challenges for Quaid-e-
Azam. Problem of refugees, division of assets, boundary problems, Kashmir and
other state problems , constitutional problems, administrative problems, where
on the top of list. Quaid-e-Azam solved the problems in an excellence way.

2) Pakistan first cabinet: in order to start government machinery, the first cabinet
of Pakistan was created by Quaid-e-Azam after a continuous search for talented
administers. The first cabinet of Pakistan took oath on 15 August 1947. Liaqat Ali
Khan became the Prime Minister, foreign minister and Defense Minister. Other
members also include in cabinet.
3) Continuous problems: on 11 August, Quaid-e-Azam presided over the new
constitution

Assembly at Karachi. The Act of 1935 was amended and enforced in the country
as there was no constitution available of the newly born state. Thus this great
achievement was done under the administrative leadership of Quaid-e-Azam.

4) Establishment of capital: Quaid-e-Azam selected Karachi City for capital city


of Pakistan. He Arranged Government and States institutions in Karachi.

5) Establishment of Administrative headquarters: for the administrative


Reformation, A committee was setup and Chaudhari Mohammed Ali was made
the secretary General. Civil services where reorganized and civil services Academy
was constituted. The secretariat was established moreover, headquarters of
Army, Navy and Air force was setup. An ammunition factory was also set up

6) Attention to Foreign Affairs: realizing, the sensitivity of Foreign Affairs, Quaid-


e-Azam feed his almost attention to the foreign policy. He developed healthy
relation with the neighboring, Muslim and developed countries. That were the
main objective of foreign policy

7) Membership of the UNO: after independence, Quaid-e-Azam paid immediate


attention for acquiring membership of the United Nation organization UNO. On
30 September 1947 Pakistan became the member of the UNO. This all, was done
under the dynamic leadership of Quaid-e-Azam.

8) Implementation of education policy: education plays an important role in the


development of a country. For this purpose, Quaid-e-Azam held the first
educational conference in 1947. He made the acquisition of scientific and
technological education Compulsory for the students. Quaid-e-Azam did a lot to
improve education policy of the country.

9) Initial problems: initial problems like economics Refugee etc sold by Quaid-e-
Azam. Quaid-e-Azam established and inaugurated State Bank of Pakistan and
introduced Pakistan's on currency on 1st July 1948.
Conclusion: on the whole it was concluded that Quaid-e-Azam served his country
till his death. despite his bad health, he kept on going through the important files.
He succumbed to delay diseases of consumption. These were the most important
work done by Quaid Azam as governor general in a very short period of 13
months. Thus achievement of the Quaid-e-Azam will not be forgotten by the
people of Pakistan.
