1. Title: Peace, unity and social harmony are the foundation of Atmanirbhar Bharat: PM

Background: Atmanirbhar Bharat is the vision of the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi of
making India a self-reliant nation. The first mention of this came in the form of the 'Atmanirbhar
Bharata Abhiyan' or 'Self-Reliant India Mission' during the announcement of the coronavirus
pandemic related economic package on 12 May 2020.

Summary:

1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday emphasised that peace, unity and social harmony
were the pillars on which a self-reliant India will be built which help realise the dream of "Ek Bharat,
Shreshth Bharat".

2. A self-reliant India (Atmanirbhar Bharat) should have the best policies, processes and products.

3. The PM also praised the citizens for their conduct during the peaceful resolution of the centuries-
old issue of Ram Janmabhoomi.

4.In a significant move, he also underlined the Union government’s focus of keeping middle class
households and putting the 110 most backward districts at the centre of the growth agenda.

5.Modi also included that the idea of self-reliant India cannot be achieved without the contribution
that farmers and agriculture sector makes.

Future Implications:

1. ‘Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ package will help India in reviving the economy focus on land,
labour, liquidity and laws and will benefit farmers, workers, taxpayers, MSMEs and cottage industry.

2. Title: PM Modi launches National Digital Health Mission

Background: The National Digital Health Blueprint of the mission was prepared by a health ministry
panel to create a framework for the national health stack proposed in 2018 by the NITI Aayog, the
government think tank.

Summary:

1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched the National Digital Health Mission.

2. Every Indian will be given health ID card containing all relevant information including visit toa
doctor or pharmacy, medication prescribed, medical tests etc.

3. The data will be stored at individual hospital servers in a federated architecture. Citizen will own
his/her health data and would require consent to share the details.

Future Implications:

1.This technology-based initiative will revolutionise health sector in India


2.The platform has been planned to improve efficiency, effectiveness and transparency of health
service delivery. The health ID will be in the form of a mobile application of website.
