Is Jesus Christ God?

Read: John 1:1-5 KJV

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the
Word was God.

The same was in the beginning with God.

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that
was made.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

4 QUESTIONS THAT COULD GIVE US THE ANSWER TO THE

QUESTION: IS JESUS CHRIST GOD?

1. Who did Jesus say He was?

John 10:14 : 14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am
known of mine.

John 10: 7: 7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto
you, I am the door of the sheep.

John 10: 9 : 9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved,
and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

John 12:45 : 45 And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.

John 8:12 : 12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of
the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have
the light of life.
John 14:6 : 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no
man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

2. Where His actions consistent w/ who God is?

John 8:29 : 29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me
alone; for I do always those things that please him.

John 10:10 : 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to
destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it
more abundantly.

John 6:38 : 38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but
the will of him that sent me.

John 10:18 : 18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have
power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment
have I received of my Father.

3. What was His relationship to God the father?

Genesis 1:26 : 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our
likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the
fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every
creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

John 8:19 : 19 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus
answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye
should have known my Father also.

John 14:16-17 : 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another
Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

John 6:38 : 38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but
the will of him that sent me.

John 14:11 : 11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or
else believe me for the very works' sake.

John 5:36 : 36 But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works
which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear
witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.

John 8:29 : 29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me

4. Why did He say He came into the world

John 3:16 : 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life
If Jesus Christ is not God, we will be all hopeless and helpless in this life

Jesus is God; All He said and all He did has resulted in the forgiveness of
our sins, the gift of eternal life and heaven as our home
