As a Financial Management major, the stated competencies are all familiar and have been
taught to us gradually, either through different courses or lessons, it all holds a sense of
importance, and have widen my understanding for it. Hence, I believe some of which are
already something I have within myself that have grown more after years. The top three
competencies I believe to be strengths of mine are, relationship management, leadership and
navigation, and communication. In a way these three hold a strong similarity that I perceive to
be a strength of mine, which is personal communication/interaction. Since I have always been
an extroverted person, I always try to make new connections, and push for greater
opportunities, not only for me but those around me.
In terms of developing another and different competency, I would like to deepen my
understanding, and at the same time broaden my knowledge regarding business acumen and
critical evaluation. Since these two are what I perceive to be a greatly vital part in one’s
organization, learning to achieve both successfully and effectively, is not only a benefit for my
own skills, but to the organization as well.
