PRODUCTS REQUIRING
SASO IECEE RECOGNITION CERTIFICATE
SASO has introduced a new scheme known as SASO Recognition Certificate for certain electrical products. As per
the requirements of this scheme the products would need to be tested by Certified Body Testing Laboratory (CBTL)
which is IECEE approved and certified accordingly as per this scheme. Applicants can obtain SASO IECEE Recognition
Certificate by applying through SASO’s JEEM website, https://jeem1.saso.gov.sa/.

The announcement of the SASO Recognition Certificate (RC) requirement was made effective from 15th February
2018. Hence all products under the scope of the SASO recognition scheme shall comply with the requirements to
obtain the SASO Recognition Certificate.

Upon arrival of the shipment containing the products and the corresponding HS codes in the scope of the SASO
RC, the KSA Customs/Authorities will verify the availability of the following documents:

• Valid IECEE Test Report issued by a Certified Body Testing Laboratory (CBTL), which is an IECEE approved Lab
and a valid CB Certificate issued by a Notified Certification Body (NCB).
• Recognition Certificate from SASO

The following list of products are under the scope of mandatory requirements for SASO Recognition
Certificate.
