This article goes into detail about the various domains of enterprise architecture:
● Business Architecture
● Information Architecture
● Data Architecture
● Application Architecture
● Technology Architecture
This approach helps to bridge the gap between the different variations of EA that is seen in
different fields. It also helps to simplify the link between information architecture and
technology architecture, as they are both connected in the way they are used to align to the
databases and server effectiveness to their company’s goals.
This is a powerpoint lecture from the University of California’s Office of the President in regards
to enterprise architecture understanding from an administrative perspective. This talks about how
EA is utilized to go from a baseline structure to a target structure from acquired changes that are
implemented from within. This outlines the ways that can help to achieve optimized business
execution.
This article looks at EA using the Zachman framework. It shows that the layers of EA may differ
depending on the framework used, but the goal is the same-to design and manage a specified IT
development to guide optimization.
