Important Information about This Release

Dear Student,

Congratulations on receiving the MSC Nastran-Patran 2013 Student Edition, one of

MSC Software’s new Student Edition offerings . This Delivery Letter will help you get
acquainted with your software package. We want to make sure you are aware of all
the valuable resources available to support your use of MSC Nastran-Patran Student
Edition.

Please note the following details regarding the MSC Nastran-Patran 2013 Student
Edition release:

• The license for this product is valid for approximately 2 years from the
software build date. The build date can be found in the header of the MSC
Nastran 2013.1 results file (.f06).
• This software is only available for the Windows 32 platform. It may be
installed on Windows 64-bit hardware, but will run in 32-bit mode.
• This version should only be used for academic work.
• The student version is designed for small, academic simulation only; there is a
limit of 5000 nodes in the model.
• MSC Nastran-Patran 2013 Student Edition includes Patran as pre- and post
processor.
