To Whom It May Concern:

From 2016, Dragan Nikolic has been engaged as an expert in the field of documentary
filmmaking on projects implemented jointly by MEDIA Desk Serbia and Film Center Serbia,
with the aim of strategic development of documentary film production in Serbia and
harmonization of professional standards of authors and producers from Serbia with international
good practices.

In connection with this, documentary film director and scriptwriter Dragan Nikolic, together with
Jovana Nikolic, production supervisor at FCS, gives public consultations organized by MEDIA
Desk and Film Center Serbia several times a month to producers and authors who apply for
public competitions launched by Film Center Serbia and the MEDIA sub-programme within the
Creative Europe programme.

As a result of this cooperation, in only two years since Serbia became eligible to apply for the
MEDIA funds, even though a country of small production capacities, it has significantly
increased the visibility of Serbian documentary films on the international scene; organized a
Serbian delegation to IDFA 2017 (initiated and coordinated jointly by Dragan Nikolic and
Jovana Nikolic), when Mila Turajlic’s film won the main award at this significant festival; and
got support for 4 documentary film projects at the MEDIA Single Project Development call for
proposals, and 1 project at the MEDIA TV programming call for proposals.

With his professional knowledge and experience in the world of the documentary film, Dragan
Nikolic has been helping in the networking of Serbian authors with key decision makers in the
documentary film industry.
