3.3 CPU installation

Precautions:

1. Please purchase Intel CPU through formal channels.

2. Make sure that the processor you purchased belongs to the
supported type for this system.
3. If you purchase the CPU heatsink separately, make sure you
use the actidata-approved heat sink.

Detailed installation of LGA2011 processor steps:

1. Press the left-hand fixed wrench (A) and push it slightly to the right (B) until
the wrench comes out of the retaining clip; and then gently lift the
non-adjustable wrench (C).

WARNING: The protective cover on the CPU mounting box is used to

protect the pins on the socket, so it can only be removed after the CPU is
installed.

2. Press the right securing wrench (D) and push it slightly to the left (E) until the
wrench comes out of the retaining clip; and then gently lift the non-adjustable
wrench (F).

3. Push the left non-adjustable wrench in the direction of the arrow and lift up
the mounting cover (G). Hold the edge and gently lift up the top cover (H).

4. Align the CPU with the slot, and make sure that the triangle mark on CPU aligns
with the triangle marks on the socket, and carefully insert the CPU in the socket.

WARNING: The CPU can only be installed in the motherboard slot

correctly in a single direction. Do not force the CPU into the slot in the wrong
direction, or it may damage the CPU and socket pins.

5. Gently close the top cover of the mounting box.

WARNING: Do not force the top cover of mounting box, or it may damage
the CPU.

6. Push down the right non-adjustable wrench (I) and make sure that the edge of
the top cover of the mounting box is fixed by wrench (J), and insert the
non-adjustable wrench.

WARNING: Keep the protective cap in place, and only the motherboard
with the protective cover on the slot meets the requirements of Return
Merchandise Authorization (RMA), and so that we can repair and maintain it.

7. Push down the left non-adjustable wrench (L) and insert it (M).

3.4 CPU heat sink installation

1. Remove the heat sink and apply the appropriate amount of hot silicone
paste on the bottom of the heat sink.
2. Place the heat sink on top of CPU, so that the four mounting holes are
aligned with the heat sink bracket on the motherboard and below.
3. Screw the two diagonal plane screws until they are in place (do not
tighten the screws too much to avoid damage to the CPU and heatsink)
4. Fully tighten the four bolts to install.
5. Reverse the sequence of this procedure to remove the heat sink.

3.5 Memory installation

Note: Be careful when installing or removing DIMM modules to

prevent any possible damage to the DIMM or slots.

How to install memory

CPU 1 controls 8 memory slots: DIMMA1, A2, DIMMB1, B2, DIMM C1, C2 and
DIMM D1, D2. CPU2 controls 8 memory slots: DIMME1, E2, DIMMF1, F2, DIMMG1,
G2, and DIMMH1, H2; the memory slot shall be aligned with that of DIMM slots;
insert each DIMM module straight in place to prevent improper installation.

Remove: Gently push the release clamp near both ends of the memory module
slot with your thumb to remove the memory from the slot.

Removal of memory modules:

Memory support specifications

The motherboard supports the DDR4 memory of 4GB / 8GB / 16GB and 32GB
R-DIMM or 32GB and 64GB of LR-DIMM and NVDIMM, supports 2400MHz at
most (2400MT/s only in BroadwellCPU and each single channel). Always use the
same size, type and speed of the memory module. To achieve the best memory
performance, install the memory modules in the dual DIMM slots with the same
color.

Memory setting rules

Note:

 Refer to actidata's official website for the memory

compatibility list to make your selection.
 To install a single memory module in a single CPU, install
the memory module in the A1 or B1 slot.
 To achieve the best compatibility, please use the memory
bank with the same CAS delay value, and we recommend
that you use the same type of memory from the same
manufacturer.
 Use a different number of memory modules according to the
following rules for installation.

Refer to the following memory settings for dual CPU settings:
