I.A. SODALITIES

I. A. 1. AUXILIUM

Patron: Mary, Help of Christians

Nature: Auxilium is a youth group of Bosconians who desire to express their special love and
devotion to our Mother, the Help of Christians, by imitating her lifestyle and virtues and by
spreading her devotion among schoolmates.

Auxilium is an association of boys, adolescents and young men who wish to live and spread the
devotion to Mary, Help of Christians in their Salesian school and family. It was established as an
association at the national level within the Salesian Youth Movement in 1988.

I. A. 2. JUVENTUS

Patron: St. John Bosco

Nature: Juventus is a group of young people who desire to share in the Spirit and Mission of St.
John Bosco by being apostles among the young.

Juventus is an association of boys, adolescent and young men in Don Bosco schools. It gathers
together members who are fascinated by the work of St. John Bosco for young people and desire
to follow in his footsteps. It was established in year 1988.

I.A. 3. KNIGHTS OF THE ALTAR

Patron: Sacred Heart of Jesus

Nature: KOA is a brotherhood around Christ, leader and brother, built upon the Word of God,
fed in liturgy and prayer, strengthened by love and service.

The Knights of the altar is an association of boys and adolescents, who desire to grow in true
brotherhood around Christ in the Eucharist. It was founded by St. John Bosco as the Blessed
Sacrament Sodality.

I.A. 4. SAVIO FRIENDS

Patron: St. Dominic Savio

Nature: The Savio Friends strives after sanctity in style of St. Dominic Savio, who leads his
fellow youth closer to God by helping them avoid sin and frequent the Sacraments.
 The Savio Friends Club is an association of boys and young people who desire to follow the
example of the boy saint, Dominic Savio. It was founded by the Salesians of Don Bosco in 1950
and was called the St. Dominic Savio Club.

I.B. LECTORS’ GUILD

Patron: St. Francis of Sales

Nature: The Lectors’ Guild is an association of volunteer young people who desire to proclaim
the Word of God in following the example of St. Francis of Sales’ zeal of preaching the Word of
God. It was founded in DBTI Makati in 2013.

I.C. CATECHIST GUILD

Patron: Sts. Louis Versiglia and Callisto Caravario

Nature: The Catechist Guild is an association of volunteer young people who desire to
evangelize public school children. They draw inspiration from the first Salesian martyrs, St.
Louis Versiglia and Callisto Caravario who offered their lives by evangelizing to foreign lands. It
was founded in DBTI Makati in 2013.
