Project – Prepare and develop a business plan
This activity includes two tasks. Task a – preparation and Task B – writing a business plan. You are
required to undertake project work based on the following scenario to develop a business plan.
Scenario
You are considering to enter into a business venture. The first option you got into your head is to
open up a café in the town centre of the suburb where you live in. You discussed with some
professionals including your accountant and estimated that you need around $80, 000 to 100,000
to open the café and run it few months managing overheads until you start making a reasonable
return to survive and grow.
You have savings of $30,000 and approached your bank to get a loan. Bank manager is very
helpful to the idea and gave some professional advice with encouraging note. Then he said the
bank requires a business plan to consider to grant the loan. You are expecting to borrow $50,000.
You decided to develop the business plan since you have already undergone training on
developing business plan. First you decided to go through analysis, research and preparation to
develop the plan.
Note: using the above scenario theme, you can decide what business you want to venture out
such as any distribution, buying and selling, online sales etc. based on your skills set.
