Developed by Global Business Unit Fibras of the Solvay Group,
Emana® is an innovative polyamide 6.6 yarn with incorporated active
bio-ceramic crystals which enhance the emission of far infrared rays
(Far Infrared Rays, FIR), so valuable for your wellbeing.

Thanks to a partnership agreement signed with the international Group Solvay,


Fulgar, a world leader in the production of nylon and coated yarns,
manufactures and distributes in Europe the Emana® fibre which combines its
decade-long expertise in the industry with the performing characteristics
of an innovative yarn and in line with specific consumer requirements.

APPLICATIONS
Ideal for applications in various segments of the textile industry,
including underwear, shapewear, loungewear, seamless products, hosiery,

in the wash, because the bio-ceramic active crystal technology

The steps towards Emana® certification

1 Testing
The fabrics and garments developed with the Emana® yarn shall be sent
to our laboratory using the specific form.
Here they will undergo conformity tests and inspections for certification purposes.

The testing protocols include:

a) fabric density and construction method


b) active mineral concentration
c) the Emana® % which directly touches the skin
d) emission level of far infrared rays

Fulgar

Fulgar is an international leader in the synthetic fibre market which


manufactures and distributes 6.6 polyamide and coated elastomers
in the textile and technical sector.
It has the largest 6.6 nylon spinning plant in Europe.
Apart from the plant in Castel Goffredo, the company has new installations
in Sri Lanka and Serbia.
