M.Sc. IT – Animation & VFX

Animation is a creative subject that offers opportunities to all kinds of creative

fields, including storytellers, artists, designers, technologists and performers. Animation
turns the possible into the magical and makes the impossible plausible. With the right
animation training, you can work in animation studios, television channels, gaming
companies, advertising agencies and film production companies, and have a high-paying
career.

2-3 years would be not sufficient to train the student and make him/her a
professional animator. Thus Gujarat University is coming with five years integrated course
in Animation & VFX where the syllabus is developed from stretch to super advance level of
creations. M.Sc. IT (Animation & VFX) degree holder can place as Modelling Artist, Lighting
Artist, Lay-out Artist, and Character Animator in various creative industries.

M.Sc. IT – Infrastructure management system (IMS)

Masters of Science in IT Infrastructure Management system aims at equipping the

individuals with the requisite technical foundations to meet the needs of the industry and
take up a career in the domain area of IT infrastructure Administration. The course deals
with the use of information systems at large deployed within business enterprises. It
dwells within the portals of information technology coupled to business domains and
unravels the techniques of IT infrastructure applicable to support a company, support
business strategies and core processes with computer-based systems.

This is a professional course built on the foundations of technology, introducing the

students to the lifecycle of data and information including the aspects of system
administration, remote administration, and network administration, apart from risk and
business continuity built over the foundations of IT infrastructure Library. Students
understand the use of information systems that encourages them to increase the system
efficiencies, improve personal effectiveness and/or gain a competitive advantage. At the
end of the course, students will be able to appreciate what is information technology and
how it is used by organizations today to improve their efficiency and profitability. Students
are expected to recognize, appraise, classify, and demonstrate dexterity in designing IT
infrastructure blue prints, deploying, and managing IT infrastructure rollouts. Students will
apply their learning to solve problems exposed through informal appraisal, such as oral
communication among students and between teacher and students. This course includes
lab study designed to inflate important design and configuration skills. This course is
mapped to various certifications exams from an industrial point of view.

M.Sc. IT – Mobile Application & User Interface

In this Professional course, students will learn the tools, techniques and concepts
needed to build mobile applications from scratch. In each semester students will work
through a range of lessons and projects which will focus on practical programming and UI
development, which will teach them about various aspects of mobile application
development. During the five year integrated course student will become fluent in object-
oriented programming languages such as Java, Objective-C and C++ they can code, test,
debug, monitor and make changes in documents for mobile applications. They will be
skilled at working inside the development environments of one or more the top mobile
Operating systems. They learn to implement application programming interfaces (APIs) to
support mobile functionality. After getting the detailed knowledge they can work as
Mobile app developer, Software developer or UX/UI designer.

M.Sc. IT – Network Security

The Network Security program is a joint effort between Computer Science and
Electrical Engineering. It is intended for students who wish to pursue careers in operations,
services, development, and research in the networking and IT industry. It addresses the
needs of the networking industry security is crucial for wired and wireless networks, so this
course covers several aspects of security and network administration. Upon completion,
students are better equipped for their careers because they gain hands-on experience with
the equipment used to secure various types of networks on different operating systems
and analysing potential security risks. Focus is placed on products available to increase
security, the impact of security on clients' businesses and the principles of risk and
authentication.
