By watching the video presented, I have learned that:

1. When the interviewee asked you to “Tell me about yourself”, focus on telling and
emphasizing your skills that are related to the job you are acquiring. Do not mention
any skills that are not related to the job or do not inform them about your home life
because they are not interested in those.

2. Provide yourself and analyze the copy of the person specification for the role you are
acquiring. This is important because by analyzing the person specification, you will
be aware and knowledgeable about the skills the role requires. By doing this, you
will be able to focus on telling them about the skills related to the job you are
applying for.

3. Utilize the use of “power words”, such enthusiastic, flexible, loyal, or adaptable to
create a positive impression and atmosphere.

4. When asked the question “Why do you want to work here?”, tell them about how you
have prepared for the interview. Be specific, and focus on the person specification,
job specification, description, and the information you have gathered from the
company’s website. You can also include literatures you have researched.

5. In answering the question “What are your strengths?”, focus on the skills that you
have based on the person specification of the job you are applying for. Be unique
and include skills that will make you stick out among the applicants while being
relatable and real.

6. If an interviewee asks you the question “Where do you see yourself in 5 years?”, do
not respond that you plan to move on another company or a better role, instead,
focus on telling them something that shows loyalty for the company. Show them
enthusiasm and avoid telling them an arrogant response.

7. When asked “What are your weaknesses?”, do not answer that you do not have any
weaknesses because we all have. Do not state a weakness that is one of the key
requirements of the role. State your weakness and how you plan or how you are
committed on improving that weakness or turning it to something good.

8. In answering “What makes a good team member?”, tell them the what you think
about positive qualities of a team member can possess. Utilize the use of STAR
(Situation, Task, Action, and Result) technique to be specific.

9. The qualities of a good team member are having a dedicated leader, focused on the
end goal, possess great communication skill, a comprehensive initial brief so that
every member is aware of the action they are going to do to achieve the task,
supportive, and able to learn from the mistakes made from past actions and
committed on improving them. An effective teamwork is vital in any organization. A
team is only strong as their weakest member. It is essential that every member in
the team provides help for each other.

10. If you were asked “Can you give an example of when you have worked well under
pressure?”, provide an example of a situation of a time when you carried out difficult
tasks successfully under strict time constraints. You can also use the STAR
technique in responding to the question.
