Employee Code of Conduct Policy
Our employee code of conduct outlines our expectations regarding employee behavior within
SolarSky. Although SolarSky promotes freedom of expression and open communication within
the organization, all employees are required to operate under this code of conduct policy. It was
designed with the Law of Zimbabwe taking precedent value.
This code of conduct has been prepared as a framework for ethical behavior and professional
business conduct that shall assist in making decisions and judgment by management. It is also
intended to assist employees in establishing individual conduct and values that maintain
SolarSky reputation within the business sphere. The conduct of each employee builds the
reputation of SolarSky as a group hence the importance of an array of conduct agreeable within
the organization. Not every situation can be premeditated but the document gives a guideline for
using common sense for each circumstance.
Employees are expected to have knowledge and understanding of the Conduct Policy. Being
unfamiliar with the conduct policy shall not be an excuse for failure to achieve SolarSky’s high
ethical standards. Management and Employees’ responsibility shall be the following:
Reading, understanding and complying with all the provisions of this code
Complying with the laws and regulations that will apply to the company’s
business
Reporting violations and suspicious activity that may jeopardize the Company’s
reputation or business

This Policy applies to all employees regardless of agreement or rank
Policy Components
Respect in the Workplace
SolarSky endeavors to comply with the law of Zimbabwe. Therefore all employees are expected
at all times to do the same. Corruption will not be tolerated. We prohibit briberies for the benefit
of any external or internal party.
Employees should look after company resources. They should also use resources sparingly or
frugally in order to reduce operating costs. Employees should protect company facilities and
other materials from damage and vandalism. Company equipment should not be misused. This
includes desks, tools, stock, computers, machines and other equipment in the working area.
Stock should always be accounted for accurately.
All employees should act within common sense at all times in order to avoid unnecessary
injuries at the work place. If any accidents do occur caused by the employee, the employee may
be charged by SolarSky.
As according to the company’s confidentiality document signed by all employees at SolarSky, all
details about the company’s dealings are not to be passed on to anyone outside the company.
All employees must be smart and at all times and according to the company’s dress code.
Employees should follow their work schedules. We can make exceptions for occasions that may
prevent employees from following standard working hours or days. However, generally, we
expect employees to be punctual when coming to coming and leaving work.
Benefits
We expect employees to not abuse their employment benefits. This can refer to time off,
insurance, facilities or other benefits our company offers.
Communication
All employees must be open for communication with their colleagues and team members.
All employees should fulfill their job duties with integrity and respect towards customers,
supervisors and managers. Employees are expected to treat their work with great passion which
will be measured by how they present themselves and deliver their assigned duties and roles.
We expect outstanding achievers, employees that set goals and achieve them. We expect
employees to be initiative and add value to the company. Laziness and sloppiness is not
tolerated.
The whole company is an interlinked web and therefore all stakeholders are expected to work
together (unless stated) to achieve the company goals. Mentoring is encouraged through-out our
company whereby if anyone is trained for a task, they have the duty to train others.
Conflict of Interests
We expect employees to avoid any personal, financial or other undertakings that might hinder
their capability to perform their job duties. Employees cannot be involved in solar power related
projects that contravene with the confidentiality agreement.
Disciplinary Actions
Demotion
Reprimand
Suspension or termination for more serious offenses
Detraction of benefits for a definite or indefinite time.
Legal action may also be taken in cases of theft, corruption, embezzlement, or other unlawful
behavior.
