what age did you start drawing and why?

Well, I started drawing at the age of six. Basic stickman sketches that all kids are able to

do, however, it was only until I was 8 where I started getting serious with it. As a kid I

always had older friends and I knew these two brothers who basically became the

people I looked up to. It was only until I saw one of the brothers drawing that those

feelings manifested into something deeper. He drew an anime character (Gaara to be

specific) and when I saw it I instantly fell in love with the whole idea of drawing.

what goes through your mind when you draw?

When I draw, it's like a different realm. It always feels like I was meant to be doing

this. Sometimes I think about how far the drawing could go as in how many eyes will

land on the drawing. Sometimes I think about what my future could be if I stick with

this. But, I must say that there are times when I think about nothing. Absolutely

nothing. I have my headphones in my ear. My eyes are just glued to the screen and the

paper. Those moments when I have absolutely nothing in my mind, are the moments

that I feel closest to my work. When day turns into night in an instant.

How long does it take you to produce one piece of art work?

That has been a question that I have asked myself countless times and I believe I

have found the answer. I have narrowed it down to around 20hours.

HEALTH TIPS
The Progressive Athlete
Be clear on your goals
DON’T LET THE MEDIA DICTATE WHAT YOU SHOULD
STRIVE FOR WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR HEALTH.
EVERYONE’S BODY IS DIFFERENT AND NOT
EVERYTHING WILL WORK THE SAME FOR LIKE IT DID
FOR THE OTHER PERSON. KNOWING YOUR GOALS
WILL HELP GO IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION WITH CLARITY.
IF YOU WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT, THEN FOCUSING ON
GAINING MUSCLE IS NOT GOING TO HELP YOU THAT
MUCH.

Meet with the right authorities

PLEASE DO SEE A DIETITIAN, FOR EXAMPLE, IF YOU

WANT TO SORT OUT YOUR DIET. I SAY THIS AS THEY ARE
QUALIFIED IN THAT ARE TO GIVE THE BEST ADVICE AND
ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS. THE INTERNET IS FILLED
WITH LOTS OF LIES AND HACKS, THAT SOMETIMES DON’T
EVEN WORK AND COULD BE HARMFUL TO YOUR
HEALTH.

Eat everything in moderation and incorporate physical activity

IF YOU JUST WANT TO LIVE A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE,

THIS IS GENERALLY THE RULE OF THUMB. TOO MUCH
OF ANYTHING CAN BE BAD FOR YOU AND YOUR
HEALTH. THIS MEANS YOU MUST DO YOUR BEST TO
HAVE A BALANCED MEAL AND INCORPORATE
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY INTO YOUR LIFE. A BALANCED
DIET WILL GIVE YOUR BODY ENOUGH NUTRIENTS TO
CARRY OUT TASKS AND BECOME LESS PRONE TO
DISEASES AND SICKNESS. DOING PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
WILL HELP YOUR BODY FEEL BETTER BY BOOSTING
YOUR ENERGY, IMPROVING YOUR SLEEP AND ALSO
PUTTING YOU IN A BETTER MOOD

BIOGRAPHY
MAXY BOI
Maxwell Tinavoishe Nyabvure (born January 22, 2003), known as Maxy

Boi, is an Afro pop songwriter and singer, based in Harare, Zimbabwe . I

am currently aged 17 years old. I have released 5 songs namely When it

comes, Bad Gyal featuring 4Real and king, In My Zone featuring Leen

Smoke and 4Real, Jiggy jiggy featuring Young Chris and my recent

track titled Givenchy. Alot of teenagers in Zimbabwe are making good

music and it's showing a brighter future for us. My goal is to be one of

the representative teenagers in Zimbabwe to be looked at especially in

afro pop music. I have been getting a lot of attention from both young

and adult people and this has showed the hard work i have been

doing.

Music is something that I've always loved and had passion for. I want to be

an inspiration to everyone and let them know that dreams do come true if

they're worked for. I want to be a successful artist and celebrate the

achievement with my family because of the love and support they give me. I

want to make afro pop music in Zimbabwe something that's enjoyable

especially for people my age. I mostly get motivation from the people who

support me. The more they like my art, the more i get motivated to make

more music.

WHAT AGE DID YOU START DANCING AND WHY?

I STARTED TAKING MYSELF SERIOUSLY IN 2010 WHEN I MOVED TO MAPUTO

FROM BEIRA. THERE WERE MORE SCHOOLS HERE AND I WAS EXPOSED TO
CHALLENGING MY POTENTIAL. I STARTED TAKING MYSELF SERIOUSLY
BECAUSE I KNEW THAT THAT'S WHAT I WAS MADE TO DO. MOVEMENT WAS
ALWAYS SOMETHING NATURAL TO ME, AND I FIND HONOUR IN LEADING LIFE
WITH WHAT COMES NATURALLY

TELL ME A BIT ABOUT THE GENRES YOU DANCE TO?

I HAVE DABBLED IN QUITE A LOT. I STARTED WITH AFRO, HIP HOP, THEN I DID BELLY
DANCE FOR A WHILE, MARRABENTA, CONTEMPORARY, A BIT OF KIZOMBA, FUSION. I
STILL HAVE ALL OF THE MUSCLE MEMORY FROM ALL OF THESE GENRES AND THEY
AFFECT HOW I DANCE TODAY. NOW I JUST DANCE. I DO FUSIONS OF THE THINGS
I'VE PICKED UP. IT'S BEAUTIFUL WHEN YOU ARE UNRESTRICTED IN MOVEMENT.

WHEN YOU DANCE WHAT GOES THROUGH YOUR HEAD?

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. WHEN I DANCE, I STOP THINKING, I FEEL. IT SOUNDS WEIRD

WHEN I SAY IT BUT IT'S TRUE. I HAVE REALLY GOOD MUSCLE MEMORY AND AS SOON
AS I DANCE, MY HEART OR SOUL AND BODY TAKE THE LEAD. IT IS A REALLY INTENSE
EXPERIENCE TO ME.

HOW LONG DO YOU TAKE TO CHOREOGRAPH ONE DANCE?

IT DEPENDS ON WHAT IT IS. SOMETIMES IT CAN TAKE 30 MINUTES, SOMETIMES IT
CAN TAKE 3 DAYS. 30 MINUTES IS WHEN I FEEL A RUSH OF INSPIRATION AND I AM
ABLE TO PUT IT ALL IN MOVEMENT. THIS IS WHERE IT'S IMPORTANT TO FILM IT
BECAUSE I NEED TO REMEMBER EVERYTHING. THE 3 DAYS IS WHEN I STILL NEED TO
UNDERSTAND WHAT I’M FEELING. THE STORY I WANT TO TELL. THE PICTURE I WANT
TO PAINT.
