DIVERSITY – My creative outlook

Dear Students,

Greetings from Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan!

Here we are, introducing our new project for the students learning German
in universities.

When we learn a language, we also learn about a new culture. The modern
culture of Germany is broad-minded, critical and diverse. Also, in India
there is a great cultural diversity.

Diversität is currently a much discussed topic around the globe. It’s a topic
discussed in Europe in the context on integration of migrants. Also, in
America there is a debate raging, because of the incidents in Florida and
other parts of the country against the Afro-American populace.

We want to start this project with a competition through which we will

together explore the diverse concepts of the term “Diversity” in all possible
ways. For example – Gender diversity, inclusion or equality for everyone
regardless of their social, religious, or ethnic background.

What comes to your mind when you hear the word “Diversity”? Pluralism
or conflicts, togetherness or to adhere to the “cultures” created by the
society.

Express your creative ideas through a picture, a sketch, a song, dance or

music piece or also through a poem.

The ideas should be original. Anything downloaded from the internet will
not be acceptable. Your creativity should reflect through your work.

A title describing your work is mandatory (in German).

We have attached some examples for your orientation. But these are just
examples of what can be done, so your creativity should not know any
limits”. As there is a saying in German, “Die Gedanken sind frei (Thoughts
are free).

The best 3 entries will be rewarded with a language course at the Goethe-
Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan, New Delhi.
10 best entries will be awarded with a rucksack and Goethe goodies and
will also receive a certificate.
