Course Description: This cousse focuses on the concept of development, development theories and practices, in the modem wold Intesplay between theory and practice and the outcome of this relationship are also explored in the syllabus. The cousse provides an overview of development thinking from ‘classical’ development ideas to altemative and post development theosies. The cousse then attempts to critically review contemporary debates, about development, including the link between the current world order and the Development goals of the developing countsies 2.
