1) How to cook a turkey

Not sure how to tackle turkey dinner? Don't worry; you're only ten steps away from serving
the perfect bird at your big feast. Read on to learn how to cook a turkey.

Here got all the basics instructions for how to cook a turkey from start to finish, every time you
need it.

Frozen whole turkeys are available from supermarkets all year round, starting from around 8
pounds, which is enough to feed up to six people
Filling
INGREDIENTS: ● 1 lb. pork ground
● 1 Turkey, (9 lb. approx.) ● 3 slices of bacon
● 4 cup natural orange juice ● 1 large onion
● 8 garlic cloves ● 1 green bell pepper
● 1 tsp of black pepper ● 1 large eggs
● 2 rosemary sprigs ● ½ cup of grated bread
● 1 cup of white wine ● 2 tbsp. olive oil
● 1 tsp of salt ● 2 small chopped apples
● 1 orange, sliced ● 2 tbsp. of chopped coriander

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Thaw it:
● Method 1: For a frozen turkey, thaw in its original plastic wrapper in the fridge.
Allow for five hours per pound, or per each 500 g.
● Method 2 (quicker): Cover the turkey with cold water, and change with fresh
cold water every 30 minutes; allow one hour per pound (500 g).
2. It is very important to wash the turkey well, I usually use lemon. Sprinkle lemon juice
on the turkey and rub for a couple of minutes and rinse. Then dry it with paper towels
and the turkey is ready to start.
3. In a mortar, crush the garlic with salt and pepper.
4. Rub the turkey with the mixture, inside and out. It is important not to break the skin of
the turkey. Inside the turkey cavity place some slices of orange and 2 sprigs of
rosemary.
5. Place in a deep container and cover with orange juice and wine. Cover and refrigerate
approximately 3 hours, turning occasionally. Waiting for the turkey to absorb the taste
of juice and spices is the most important.
6. Filling
a. Peel the apple, the onion and remove the seeds of the pepper.
b. Cut the bacon, onion, apple and green bell pepper into small pieces, crush the
garlic.
c. In a saucepan over medium high heat add the oil, bacon and cook for 3 minutes.
Add the onion and garlic until golden. Then incorporate, the spices, the pepper
and the meat and cook for at least 10 minutes. Finally, add beaten egg,
breadcrumbs and apple. Mix everything well. Remove from heat and set aside.
7. Place the turkey in a tray and keep the liquid (we will use it later), orange sliced and
rosemary. With a teaspoon place the filling inside the cavity of the turkey. Tie the legs
together with string and tuck the wing tips under the body of the turkey.
8. Place the turkey on a deep baking sheet, add the juice, orange and rosemary. Cover
with foil and bake for at least 3 hours at 300F. One of the ways to know that the turkey
is ready is when the meat begins to separate from the bone.
9. After the second hour, remove foil to golden the turkey.
10. When turkey is done, transfer to warm platter. Tent with foil and let stand for 20 to 30
minutes. This allows time for juices at the surface of the bird to distribute evenly
throughout the meat. Carve turkey. Eat and enjoy!

INGREDIENTS:
● 2 cups flour ● 2 cups milk
● 2 tbsp. baking powder ● 3 eggs
● ½ tsp salt ● 2 tbsp. melted butter
● 2 tbsp. of sugar (If you like sweets, ● Fruits or syrup (optional)
you can add three more
tablespoons)

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Beat the egg whites at maximum speed for 5
minutes. When ready, the mixture should form firm, shiny peaks. Keep this mixture in
another bowl.
2. Mix the milk, melted butter, sugar and egg yolks in a medium bowl. Beat until the sugar
dissolves well.
3. Put all the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder and salt) in a large bowl, and add the
wet ingredients you just mixed.
4. Mix all the ingredients well, until the mixture does not have lumps. Then, with a
wooden spoon and wrapping movements, mix the egg whites that you had reserved
with the dough. At this point you cannot beat, otherwise the dough will not grow.
5. Now you just have to cook the waffles in a waffle maker (like making hot sandwiches).
Normally this takes about 2 to 3 minutes, but it depends on the machine, so follow the
manufacturer's instructions.
6. We use a silicone mold for waffles and baking. These molds are very practical, do not
require adding butter or flour. Silicone molds do not stick and also cool very fast.
7. You can serve waffles with chopped fruits, caramel, fruit or chocolate syrup or sugar
covered. There are dozens of options, even salads.
