Present Situation of Market:
Serving in seventeen districts of Dhaka
Providing chickens to four districts of Chittagong Division
Serving the demand of Pabna
And the demand of hatching eggs in Comilla

Present Situation of Production:

“সতেজ” have five Breeding farms.
They have seven commercial farm and the average capacity of the farms is 25,000 birds.
Depending on the requirements, birds are grown from 1200 to 2500 gm.

Challenge
Strengthening the position of “সতেজ” in Comilla, where the demand of hatching eggs is raising
and serving more six districts of Chittagong division.
Recommendation:
1. Setting up two Commercial Farm and a Dressing unit in sitakunda

 For serving 10 districts of Chittagong we need approximately total of 70000 of

boilers. If we set up two farm that has the capacity of initially at least 30000 of
each and that can be increased up to 40000 in near future.
 If we transfer boiler from Narayangong to sitakunda, we have to carry 70000
adult boiler to Sitakunda that will take so many rides of the transport and also cost
high.
But if we transport day-old chicks from Comilla to sitakunda, it will take less
rides of the transport and also cost effective than transporting the adult boiler.
