Overview
Donyetta represents clients in all aspects of
employment litigation, including cases
concerning wrongful discharge, promissory estoppel, breach of contract, enforcement of
non-compete agreements, wage and hour claims and discrimination claims under the
Americans with Disabilities Act, Family Medical Leave Act, Age Discrimination in
Employment Act and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Donnie has represented some of the largest employers in the country and in the Cincinnati
region regarding employment law matters and litigation. She frequently advises
employers on various human resource matters such as reviewing employee handbooks,
terminations, employee discipline, pre-employment screening and drug testing.
Donnie also represents employers in workers’ compensation matters before the Industrial
Commission, common pleas courts and appellate courts. She handles all aspects of
workers’ compensation claims including, initial allowances, additional conditions, appeals
regarding the Right to Participate (R.C. 4123.512), temporary total disability claims,
permanent partial awards, permanent total disability claims, wage loss claims, loss of use
awards, violation of Specific Safety Requirements (VSSR) claims and intentional tort
claims.
She also handles general civil litigation matters including high stakes personal injury,
wrongful death and product liability cases. Her commercial litigation practice involves
handling disputes arising from various business arrangements including matters relating
to breach of contract and various business tort claims including fraud, anti-trust and unfair
competition.
Donnie’s family law practice includes representing clients in dissolutions, custody,
visitation and child support matters.

in housing transactions, including multi-family housing sponsors, developers, and underwriters. He
represents governmental issuers (both as bond counsel and issuer counsel), LIHTC syndicators,
developers (for-profit and non-profit), underwriters, banks, trustees, lenders and credit providers.
Multiple HUD, tax credit, bond and other program requirements often result in very complicated
financial and legal structures; Lewis views these challenges as opportunities to build real
partnerships among all the stakeholders in affordable housing transactions.
Lewis recently acted as bond counsel in an innovative pooled finance which leveraged $16 million of
private equity and $28 million in multi-family private activity bonds to rehabilitate 793 scattered units
throughout Tennessee. In 2013, Lewis acted as developer’s counsel in an innovative transaction
that will rebuild an affordable housing complex destroyed by a tornado in 2013, working with an array
of local, state, and federal officials, including the Kentucky Housing Corporation and the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Prior to 2008, Lewis was chief counsel at the Kentucky Housing Corporation.
Lewis is active in the community. He is appointed by the Boone County Fiscal Court to the board of
the Northern Kentucky Area Development District (NKADD) and serves as its vice chair. Lewis
also serves on the board of the Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission and the Shirley
Mann Elementary School Based Decision Making Council.
A native of Cuba and a resident of South Florida through his teenage years, Lewis is fluent in
Spanish.

Mr. Foster’s background includes more than 6 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution. He has extensive experience in

Successfully represented one of the nation's largest energy producers and transporters,
Dominion East Ohio, in a case involving a natural gas supplier who placed restricted covenants on
property deeds, forcing all owners and lessees to buy gas from it. The supplier sued Dominion
when a commercial customer tried to enter into a new retail supply agreement with them. Courts
struck down the covenant for lack of considerations and ruled the restriction as a violation of Ohio
public policy.

Biography
Brian’s practice consists of employment litigation. Brian is the Chair of
the firm’s Manufacturing Industry Group and the firm’s Workers’
Compensation Practice Group. Prior to joining the firm, Brian gained
experience as a litigator in the workers’ compensation area. In addition,

John has an array of litigation experience representing public as well as private entities. His litigation experience
includes numerous first chair trials to both the bench and juries which have included subject areas such as
employment defense, criminal prosecutions, contract disputes, government appropriations, premises liability and
personal injury. Mr. Williams has also participated in numerous AAA arbitrations on behalf of management regarding
employee discipline matters. He also has counseled small minority-owned businesses in the areas of formation as
well as contract negotiation.
Williams is a former Assistant City Solicitor for the Cincinnati of City Solicitor’s Office Civil Section and he also served
as a prosecutor for the Solicitor’s Office as well as the Village of Lincoln Heights. Williams was also appointed as the
Magistrate of the Village of Golf Manor. Williams also served on the monitoring team which was in charge of
implementing reforms agreed to in a settlement agreement between the Cincinnati Police Department and the
justice department regarding racial profiling and discriminatory treatment of African American citizens. Williams also
acted as Co- General Counsel to the Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority his duties included advice and
counsel, representation in civil matters as well as authority counsel in public finance projects.
Williams received his law degree from SUNY Buffalo and his BA from SUNY Purchase. He is admitted to practice in
Ohio, Kentucky and New York. He is also admitted to practice in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the
District of Columbia, the Federal District Courts of Ohio and Eastern District of Kentucky, and the Federal Court of
Claims.
