Update on Medical Facilities in relation to COVID-19

(as of April 01, 2020)

Please be advised that a number of our accredited hospitals have sent us notices on their internal
capacities to handle COVID-19 cases.

Stating various reasons such as - influx of hospital admissions for PUIs and COVID-19 positive
cases, unavailability of isolation rooms, healthcare workers in quarantine, and shortage in supply
of ventilators and PPEs, the following accredited hospitals have reached full capacity and can
no longer accommodate PUIs and COVID-19 patients for admission.

As an alternative, we have identified accredited hospitals that are still capable of handling
PUIs and COVID-19 cases. Members may proceed to these facilities for treatment.

The Department of Health (DOH) has also designated the following hospitals as COVID-19
Referral Hospitals in NCR:

3. University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH)

For Davao City, the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) shall be the primary hospital
for severe and critical COVID-19 PUI and positive patients. Other centers available for mild PUIs
shall receive patients referred to them by SPMC.

Note: Information may change at any time due to the evolving situation.

Member is advised to call the hospital prior to visit or check the official website and/or
social media page of these facilities for updates.
The following molecular laboratories have also been certified by the Research Institute for
Tropical Medicine (RITM) to perform independent testing for COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) by
Realtime Polymerase Chain reaction (PCR).
