Q1. Solve the following system of four equations using the Gauss elimination method.

4x1 - 2x2 - 3x3 + 6x4 = 12

-6x1 + 7x2 + 6.5x3 - 6x4 = -6.5
x1 + 7.5x2 + 6.25x3 + 5.5x4 = 16
-12x1 + 2 2x2 + 15.5x3 - x4 = 17

Q2. Determine the forces in the loaded eight-member truss that is shown in the figure
below:
