III-C AUTOFILL FLOAT VALVE

The Citadel Casing Solutions III-C Autofill float valve is a conventional poppet valve comprised
of a thermoplastic composite material. It is drillable with PDC, roller cone, and fixed cutter carbide
bits. The valve is tested to API 10F III-C qualification. The valve is retained in the open position by 10,
3/16” ball bearings in the stem. Once total depth is reached, and circulation is established, the ball
bearings flow through the valve(s) and are circulated out with the mud system.

TOE INITIATOR CEMENTING SYSTEM
The Citadel Casing Solutions Toe Initiator Cementing System was specifically designed for
use in production casing applications where toe initiator valves, frac sleeves, or casing floatation
collars are an integral part of the casing string – adding complexity and risk due to ID restrictions for
the cementing plugs and high hydrostatic pressure exposure to the float valves. For these
challenging applications, we’ve coupled our Toe Initiator top and bottom plug system with the
bulletproof all aluminum 338 ULTRA MAG valve, rated to 15,000 psi at 400° F.

INNER STRING CEMENTING
The Citadel Casing Solutions INNER STRING
CEMENTING SYSTEM reduces cementing time and the volume
of cement required by pumping cement through a work string
instead of the casing. The system uses a modified float collar or
shoe and a stab-in adapter with a tubing or drillpipe thread.
This system enables significant reduction in cement
volume and displacement time, higher performing cement
slurries to be used, higher displacement efficiency, and
elimination of casing cement sheath.

REACHING TOTAL DEPTH FASTER WITH CAOS™

BASIN: DATE: CAOS SIZE:
MIDCON December 7.000 casing
2017 X 8.750 hole
CHALLENGE: Difficulty running casing to TD in narrow
annulus – encountering washouts, ledges, and
swelling formation.

SOLUTION: The Citadel Casing Solutions’ CAOS™

Reamer shoe equipped with a customized highly offset
aluminum nose was run on half of the wells on a 4 well
pad as a field study. The operator found that while
using the same procedures in similar wells they were
able to reach TD 46% faster on average using the
Citadel CAOS Reamer. Over 10,000 ft of 7 inch casing
run to TD in less than 15 hours.

TRENCH FOOT™ WET SHOE SYSTEM

The Citadel Casing Solutions TRENCH FOOT™ Wet Shoe
Cementing system is an economical method providing a flow path
at the shoe which facilitates completion operations. It is comprised
of multiple bottom plugs with increasing rupture pressures. This
system is run without a top plug, enabling the operator to over-
displace a known volume of cement with retarded, non-setting
spacer. After waiting on cement (WOC), guns and/or frac plugs can
be pumped down immediately.
The advantage of the Citadel system is enabling the
elimination of some or all of the shoe track, increasing exposure to
the producing interval, or reducing up to 120 ft of unnecessary
drilling. This is possible by utilizing Citadel’s bulletproof 338 ULTRA
MAG valve in a double valve shoe configuration. It boasts a gas-
tight, 15,000 psi rating at 400°F, eliminating the need for a
redundant float collar.
Available Rupture Pressures: 300 psi, 1500 psi, 3000 psi, 4000 psi
This system is also available in a latch-down configuration

Cement is spotted between the [conventional] first and second bottom plugs, and is pumped normally

A highly retarded spacer is spotted between the second and third bottom plugs, allowing a controlled over-displacement of the cement in the shoe

Upon landing the third and final plug, the cement in the shoe is successfully displaced, and the well is ready for continued operations following WOC

FOAM WIPER BALLS

Foam technology has been developed that substantially improves the
wiping and fluid separation possible when performing cementing pumping
operations. Natural rubber foam matrix materials are used in the fabrication of
wiper balls that can be used for numerous pumping operations using mono-ID
and multi-ID bores over a temperature range of 40°F (4°C) through 302 °F
(150°C). Unlike conventional urethane foams, the Citadel foam balls perform
well in debris laden fluids and high hydrostatic pressures.

Applications for foam wiper balls include mechanical tubular wiping,

fluid separation, drill pipe clean out, and it can be used in conjunction with conventional plugs/darts to improve
wall cleaning.

Foam wiper balls supplied from Citadel Casing Solutions come packaged in individual bags for
protection from UV rays caused by sunlight or electrical equipment. Each package includes a label showing its
package date, part number and wiping diameters each ball is designed to be used in.
